What it is
Intuitive Takeoff is a Windows application for measuring lengths, areas and counts from construction plans, then applying saved rates to price the work. Its 2D workspace can group and align sheets, assemble pages by match line and compare revisions with overlays. Users can annotate drawings with 19 markup types, including dimensions, callouts, clouds, stamps and signatures. Exports include annotated PDF, Excel and CSV, with branded quotes and invoices also available. The Utilities & Civil module models connected pipe networks and calculates elevations, depth, slope and trench quantities. Smart Plan Detection names sheets, classifies pages, parses sheet indexes and detects schedule tables locally. On the Advanced plan, a Claude connector can build takeoff items and reference schedule data, but cannot draw pipe runs, edit placed-run hydraulics or set trench profiles. It is read-only until the user grants permission and reviews changes. The maker says plans render locally without uploads. Standard costs 25.00 USD per month; Advanced costs 50.00 USD per month. A 30-day trial unlocks Advanced and may begin a subscription automatically if checkout included a payment method.
Who it suits. It is aimed at general contractors, civil contractors, estimators and project managers who measure plans and price work from saved rates. Civil takeoff tools are available in Advanced.
