In the U.S. storefront pricing checked on August 18, 2026, it was listed at $299.99 without Plus, or $279.99 with one introductory month of Plus.
Its main appeal is a permanently visible household hub for calendars, chores, lists and meal planning. The trade-offs are the upfront cost, Wi-Fi and power requirements, and subscription fees for some features.

What is Skylight Calendar 2?
Calendar 2 is Skylight’s updated 15-inch digital family calendar. It connects to the internet and displays shared schedules on a touchscreen, while also supporting household-management tools such as chores, routines, lists and meal planning.
It is best understood as a connected family command centre rather than a conventional offline wall calendar. Skylight lists compatibility with Google, Outlook, Apple, Cozi and Yahoo calendars, with updates also available through its mobile app. Account permissions, shared-calendar settings and work or school restrictions can affect how syncing works.

The device can be wall-mounted or placed on a surface using its adjustable stand. The current listing includes a wall mount with a bubble level, but installation still requires a nearby power outlet and a suitable way to route the cable. See Skylight’s setup guidance for the activation process.
What is new in Calendar 2?
Skylight says Calendar 2 introduces:
- A sleeker design influenced by the larger Calendar Max.
- Interchangeable Snap Frames for changing the device’s appearance.
- A brighter, more color-accurate display.
- Up to 3× faster performance, according to Skylight.
The brightness, color and speed improvements are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Skylight has not provided, in the launch information, a complete technical comparison covering processor, resolution, storage, speakers, dimensions or power consumption. Buyers should therefore treat Calendar 2 as a design and experience refresh rather than assume every internal specification has changed.
Features and subscription requirements
The core calendar experience is intended to work without an ongoing Plus subscription. However, Skylight places several enhanced functions behind Plus, and the exact bundle should be checked on the current product page and at checkout.

Over three years, the $79 annual Plus price would add $237 if it remains unchanged and the subscription is kept continuously. That makes the practical cost substantially higher than the hardware price alone.
How setup works
- Connect Calendar 2 to a Wi-Fi network.
- Install the Skylight app on an iPhone or Android device, or use Skylight’s web activation route.
- Select the option indicating that you own a Skylight device.
- Select Skylight Calendar.
- Complete activation and connect the calendars you want to display.
Before mounting it, check the outlet location, wall type, mounting hardware, viewing angle, glare and cable route. A stand may be more practical if the device needs to move between rooms.
Calendar 2 requires internet access for updates and online-calendar synchronisation. It should not be treated as a fully independent offline replacement for a paper or magnetic calendar.

Calendar 2 versus the older Skylight Calendar
The verified launch-level differences are the refreshed design, Snap Frame customisation, a brighter and more color-accurate display, and Skylight’s claim of 3× faster performance. The older 15-inch Skylight Calendar should not be assumed to have identical hardware or identical pricing, but the available launch information does not establish detailed differences in processors, resolution, storage, cameras, speakers or power use.
Older search results may show 15-inch products priced at $229.99 or $249.99. Those figures should not be confused with the current Calendar 2 listing unless the model and date are clearly identified.

Calendar 2 makes the most sense for a busy household that needs a shared schedule visible in a kitchen, hallway or family command centre. It is particularly useful when family members already use compatible online calendars but do not consistently check their phones.

Skylight Calendar 2 is a real, released product—not a future launch. Its value comes from making a household schedule visible and combining it with chores, lists and other family tools. The redesigned display, Snap Frames and claimed performance improvements make it a more polished successor, but the $299.99 hardware price, optional $79-per-year Plus plan, Wi-Fi dependence and installation requirements matter.
For a busy family that will actually use a shared wall display, Calendar 2 is a credible purpose-built option. For a household that wants offline simplicity, broad tablet functionality or no recurring costs, a paper calendar or mounted tablet may be the better fit.
