Because the program has been rolled out as a limited pilot, confirm a current appointment through Lowe’s official booking and availability page before traveling.
What the Lowe’s Apple Vision Pro experience actually is
Lowe’s Style Studio is an immersive kitchen-design consultation developed by Lowe’s and powered by Apple Vision Pro hardware. A Lowe’s associate guides the customer through a virtual kitchen where they can explore design styles and change elements such as cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, sinks, appliances, colors, and finishes.

Customers use Apple Vision Pro’s eye- and hand-controlled interface to move through the environment and make selections. Lowe’s says style selections and product lists can be saved and shared. In some sessions, companions can follow along through an iPad mirror of the headset view.
Where and when Lowe’s announced the rollout
The program has expanded in stages rather than launching chainwide:
- February 2, 2024: Lowe’s launched a Style Studio app for Apple Vision Pro, allowing headset owners to explore kitchen designs at home. Lowe’s announcement
- June 3, 2024: Lowe’s announced its first in-store pilot in Central Charlotte, North Carolina; North Bergen, New Jersey; and Sunnyvale, California. The Charlotte experience was scheduled to begin June 8, with the other locations scheduled for June 22–25. Original pilot announcement

These dates establish the rollout history, not current availability. A store that appeared in a 2024 or 2025 announcement may no longer offer sessions, may have no open appointments, or may operate under different hours. As of the latest available official information, Lowe’s continues to present Style Studio as an Innovation Labs project, but a complete, current nationwide store list has not been established.

- Southwest Austin — 6400 Brodie Lane

Treat this as a historical list unless the current booking system confirms that a location is still participating.
How to check whether a session is available now
- Open Lowe’s Style Studio booking page.
- Check the participating store, address, appointment date, and available time.
- Confirm that the appointment is for Lowe’s Style Studio, not a general kitchen-design consultation.
- Verify the current cost, session length, walk-in policy, and companion rules before traveling.
A current, bookable appointment is stronger evidence than an old press release, social-media post, or third-party store list. If no appointments appear, contact the store before assuming that walk-ins are accepted.

What happens during the consultation?
The precise check-in and fitting process can vary by store, but the announced experience generally follows this pattern:
- Check in with a Lowe’s associate. The session is associate-guided rather than an unattended headset display.
- Put on the Apple Vision Pro headset. Lowe’s supplies the headset for the in-store experience, so customers do not need to own one.
- Explore a virtual kitchen. The software presents preset kitchen styles curated by Lowe’s designers.
- Adjust design components. You can compare finishes, colors, cabinets, countertops, appliances, sinks, flooring, fixtures, and related choices.
- Review the result with companions. An iPad mirror may allow other people in the group to follow the headset experience.
- Save or share selections. Lowe’s describes saved style selections and product lists as part of the workflow, although account and export behavior should be confirmed at the specific appointment.
The Austin announcement described the consultation as approximately 45 minutes. That is a useful planning estimate for the Austin pilot, not a guaranteed duration for every current location.

That does not mean the entire remodeling process is free. The session does not automatically include cabinets, appliances, installation, labor, design fees, delivery, measurements, or a completed kitchen. Confirm the current terms when booking, especially because pilot programs can change.
Do you need to own Apple Vision Pro?
No, not for an in-store Style Studio appointment. Lowe’s provides the headset as part of the guided session.

What Style Studio can—and cannot—tell you about a remodel
Style Studio can be useful when a customer has difficulty imagining how a kitchen will look from photographs, samples, or a 2D plan. It can also help couples, families, designers, and contractors establish a shared visual direction before selecting products.
However, it should be treated as a visualization and shopping-assistance tool, not a construction-ready design. A virtual kitchen does not replace:
- Accurate field measurements
- Cabinet and appliance clearance checks
- Plumbing and electrical planning
- Structural evaluation
- Building-code review and permits
- Installer estimates and scope verification
- Product availability, pricing, lead-time, and delivery checks
- Confirmation that selected products work together in the actual room
Virtual scale, lighting, texture, and color may differ from the installed result. A combination shown in the software may also be aspirational or unavailable locally. Before ordering, verify dimensions, specifications, stock, lead times, and installation requirements with Lowe’s and the project professionals involved.
Questions to ask before booking
- Is this exact store currently offering Lowe’s Style Studio?
- Is the session still free, and is there any purchase commitment?
- How long is the appointment at this location?
- Are walk-ins accepted, or is an appointment required?
- Can a spouse, family member, designer, or contractor attend?
- Can companions view the experience on an iPad?
- Can the selections be saved to a Lowe’s account or shared afterward?
- Are there accommodations for glasses, facial accessories, limited hand mobility, vision differences, or motion sensitivity?
- What headset-cleaning and fitting procedures are used?
- Are children permitted to participate?
Lowe’s public announcements do not specify all of these policies, so the store should answer them directly rather than customers relying on assumptions.
