Lefant F1 Hands-On: Tiny, Capable, and More Basic Than It Looks

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Lefant F1’s main advantage is its unusually small body. At about 11 inches wide and 2.7 inches tall, it can reach beneath furniture that defeats many taller robot vacuums. It also offers a large approximately 600ml dustbin, a claimed maximum suction rating of 4,000Pa, app control, scheduled cleaning, and a light damp-wiping function.

In practice, however, the F1 is a basic sensor-guided robot rather than a modern mapping system. It can handle everyday dust, crumbs, and pet hair reasonably well—especially on hard floors—but it does not save a floor plan, its obstacle avoidance is limited, setup may be awkward on some Wi-Fi networks, and its “mop” is better understood as a damp wipe than a floor scrubber.

The short verdict

The Lefant F1 made sense as an inexpensive maintenance cleaner for a small apartment or home with hard floors, low furniture, and relatively little clutter. Its compact design, quiet operation, large dustbin, brushless suction inlet, and long advertised battery life were meaningful advantages.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

It was much less compelling for buyers who expected room-by-room control, dependable object recognition, deep carpet cleaning, or serious mopping. The F1’s app can control and schedule the robot, but the available hands-on evidence says it does not create and save a usable floor plan. Its cleaning path is only an approximate record of where it has traveled.

  • This Lefant M210 robotic vacuum cleaner is good for families with pets.
  • Why the Lefant M210 can't connect to the APP: Please make sure you are using the new App-Lefant, waiting for you to unlock more features that were not available in the old App-Lefant Life.
  • 【Small Body Design】: Are you still worried that the vacuum can't go under the furniture to clean? This Lefant M210 with an 11'' diameter and 2.99" Height works easily under or around beds, sofas and other furniture for a thorough cleaning and high coverage.
  • 【Unique Brushless Suction Port】: Robot vacuum powered by a strong digital motor provides strong suction power. The unique Brushless Suction structure ensures that pet hair and dirt go into the dustbin easily, unlike roller brushes, suction does not entangle hair.
  • 【6 Clean Modes Your Needs】: Vacuum Cleaner Robot offers 6 clean modes, including zigzag, random, spot, edge, scheduled, and manual control. Freely switch among different modes and power levels as you want via the Lefant App. Note: Do not use Zigzag mode on carpet.

There is also an important 2026 qualification: the available evidence does not establish a current official price or reliable mainstream stock. Lefant’s current catalog highlights newer models, including the M210 Pro OMNI, rather than clearly listing the F1 as an active product. Treat the F1 as an older model and consider it only when the exact listing, condition, accessories, app support, and price are verified.

Check Lefant’s current catalog before treating any historical F1 listing as current.

What is the Lefant F1?

The F1 is a round, low-profile robot vacuum with an optional damp-wiping attachment. It is primarily designed to automate routine vacuuming. The mop component adds a light wipe across a hard floor; it is not a powered scrubbing system or a replacement for manual washing.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Lefant positioned the F1 around a combination of compact dimensions, high claimed suction, a large dustbin, sensor-based navigation, app control, and magnetic boundary strips. Its product material also describes simultaneous vacuuming and mopping, automatic docking, drop sensing, and compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant, although features can vary by region, app version, firmware, and package.

Size and design: the F1’s strongest argument

Lefant’s published specifications and comparison material put the F1 at approximately:

  • Diameter: about 11 inches
  • Height: about 2.7 inches
  • Dustbin: about 600ml
  • Battery: approximately 3,600mAh lithium-ion
  • Maximum claimed suction: up to 4,000Pa

Sources: Lefant’s F1 comparison material and its F1 overview.

The 2.7-inch height matters more than the diameter. A low robot can clean beneath beds, sofas, cabinets, and entertainment units that taller machines cannot reach. Measure the actual clearance beneath your furniture, including any trim, uneven flooring, or low-hanging fabric. A nominal product height is not a guarantee that the robot will fit every space.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The approximately 600ml dustbin is generous for such a small machine. It means fewer interruptions during ordinary cleaning, although homes with pets may still require frequent emptying. A full bin can restrict airflow, and the filter, suction opening, side brushes, wheels, and sensors still need maintenance.

Replacement Parts for Lefant F1 Robot Vacuum Cleaner - Side Brushes and Filters Set (4 Brushes, 4 Filters)
  • 【Materials】Made of materials, these replacement spare parts ensures durability and long-lasting performance.
  • 【Enhanced Cleaning】The side brush design allows the vacuum cleaner to reach deeper into the carpet, providing more thorough and efficient cleaning.
  • 【Effective Filtration】The filter effectively filters fine dust, dust, and other particles from entering the air you breathe during cleaning.
  • 【Easy Replacement】These spare parts can be easily removed and replaced as part of normal maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of your vacuum cleaner.
  • 【Regular Replacement】For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace these spare parts every 2 to 3 months to maintain the machine's efficiency.

The F1 uses a brushless suction inlet rather than a conventional central roller brush. That can reduce the amount of long hair wrapped around a roller, but it does not make the robot maintenance-free. Hair can still accumulate around the inlet, side brushes, wheel axles, and filter. The design may also be less effective than a well-engineered roller system on some carpets.

Package contents vary by market and listing. One hands-on listing reported a mop plate, two reusable cloths, a replacement filter, and a two-meter magnetic boundary strip. Verify that the exact package includes the dock, mop plate, cloths or disposable wipes, boundary strip, filter, remote if advertised, and the correct regional power accessories.

Does 4,000Pa mean powerful cleaning?

Not by itself. Lefant rates the F1 at up to 4,000Pa, a notably high pressure figure compared with some related budget models. But Pa is a manufacturer-reported suction-pressure measurement, not a complete standardized measure of debris pickup.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Actual cleaning depends on airflow, floor contact, inlet design, filters, side brushes, navigation coverage, debris type, and whether the machine can repeatedly pass over a dirty area. A high number on the specification sheet does not prove superior deep cleaning.

The most reasonable interpretation of the evidence is that the F1 provides useful everyday pickup rather than universally outstanding vacuuming. Hands-on coverage found it acceptable and effective for common debris and pet hair on bare floors, with reasonable performance on low- and medium-pile carpet. Lefant itself reports approximately 90% success on low-pile carpet and 85% on medium-pile carpet, but those are Lefant’s own test figures, not independent laboratory results. See Lefant’s testing claims.

Cleaning performance by floor type

Hard floors

Hard floors are the F1’s safest recommendation. Its routine targets—dust, crumbs, cereal, rice, and ordinary household debris—match the sort of light daily cleaning for which budget robots are most useful. Pet hair on bare flooring is also a reasonable use case, provided the inlet and filter are cleaned regularly.

Low-pile carpet

Low-pile carpet is likely to be acceptable for maintenance cleaning, especially when debris is loose rather than deeply embedded. The F1’s suction claim is encouraging, but the brushless inlet means buyers should not automatically expect the agitation of a conventional roller brush.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Medium-pile carpet

The available evidence supports cautious optimism rather than a guarantee. Lefant reports approximately 85% success in its own testing, while the hands-on account describes reasonable carpet performance. Results will vary with carpet density, debris, battery condition, suction mode, and how much coverage the navigation provides.

Lefant M210 Pro Robot Vacuum with Powerful Suction, 6 Cleaning Modes, 120 Mins Runtime, Quiet, Self-Charging, Voice Control, Ideal for Pet Hair and Hard Floor, White
  • Compact Body Design & Flexible Obstacle Avoidance: Lefant M210P has only an 11'' diameter and 2.99" Height. It's designed for narrow spaces such as beds, sofas, corners, etc. to avoid tangles, clean thoroughly, and achieve high coverage
  • Faster Multi-Mode Connection: The M210 Pro expands the Bluetooth and WiFi distribution network and increases efficiency by 2 times, making the connection easier, faster, and more stable
  • Six Cleaning Modes Meet Your Needs: M210 Pro robotic vacuums have six cleaning modes: automatic, planning, fixed point, edge, schedule, and manual. You can freely switch modes depending on your mood and environment which makes cleaning so easy
  • Smart App and Voice Control: You can use the Lefant APP to monitor the cleaning path, schedule cleaning plan, adjust suction level, change cleaning mode, etc. M210P also can be controlled via the Alexa/Google Assistant (Note: only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi) PS: The robot vacuum supports iWatch, but the watch is not included in the package.
  • Unique Suction Port Design: Remove the bottom roller brush and adopt the large suction door design, which ensures that hair, debris and dust go into the dustbin easily, and the cleaning efficiency is close to 90%. This makes the M210P great for pet owners

Thick, shaggy, or heavily soiled carpet

This is a poor fit. The available material does not establish deep-cleaning capability on dense or shaggy carpet. Large amounts of embedded grit, long hair, and repeated traffic-lane soil are better handled by a stronger upright or a more capable robot with a well-designed roller system.

Edges and corners

Side brushes help move debris toward the suction inlet, but no round robot cleans every edge perfectly. Expect occasional manual attention along walls, in tight corners, and around furniture legs.

What does the mop actually do?

The F1’s mop is a damp cloth attached beneath the robot. It can wipe fine dust from a prepared hard floor while the robot vacuums, but it should be treated as light maintenance wiping, not scrubbing.

There is no evidence here of powered agitation, controlled downward scrubbing pressure, sophisticated water dosing, automatic mop lifting, or self-washing. It is not the right tool for sticky spills, dried stains, grout cleaning, or floors that need a thorough wash.

The most important limitation is carpet safety. The hands-on review reports that the F1 could wipe across carpet because it did not reliably recognize the surface while mopping. Before using the damp attachment:

  • Remove rugs or physically block carpeted areas.
  • Use the magnetic boundary strip where it can create a reliable barrier.
  • Do not leave the robot unattended around valuable rugs.
  • Use the mop only on floors suitable for the amount of moisture applied.
  • Remove and wash the cloth after use rather than leaving it damp on the robot.

Lefant’s F1 material discusses wet wipes and vacuum-and-mop operation, but accessory contents vary. See Lefant’s F1 mop information and confirm the exact listing.

Navigation: it does not save a floor plan

The F1 uses sensor-based navigation, including Lefant’s Freemove3.0 whole-body obstacle-sensing system and drop detection. That is not the same as LiDAR mapping, camera mapping, or room-aware navigation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The app may display an approximate cleaning trajectory, but the hands-on evidence says the robot does not create and save a floor plan. Consequently, it cannot reliably perform the modern features many buyers now expect, such as:

  • Cleaning a named room on command
  • Saving multiple floor plans
  • Drawing virtual no-go zones on a map
  • Consistently resuming a precise location after interruption
  • Planning efficient, room-by-room coverage

For a single open area, this may be acceptable. For a multi-room home, close doors or use physical boundaries to confine the robot. It may repeat some areas, miss others, or take a less efficient route.

Obstacle avoidance is detection, not object recognition

Freemove3.0 and infrared-style sensing can help the F1 detect walls, furniture, and larger obstacles. Drop sensors are intended to reduce the chance of falling from stairs or ledges. Lefant describes these protections in its product material, but no obstacle system should be treated as infallible.

The hands-on review specifically lists susceptibility to obstacles as a weakness. “Anti-collision” does not mean the robot understands what it sees. It may not reliably identify a charging cable, shoelace, sock, toy, pet bowl, fragile object, or pet accident before contacting or dragging it.

Prepare the floor before the first run and continue doing so for scheduled cleaning. Pick up cords, clothing, toys, small objects, and loose pet items. Supervise the first cleaning near stairs, raised transitions, and furniture with vulnerable finishes. The sources do not establish a verified maximum threshold height, so do not assume the F1 will cross a particular door sill.

Setup and Wi-Fi: the main source of friction

The hands-on report describes difficulty pairing the F1 with home Wi-Fi. It reported a 2.4GHz requirement, a password restriction involving special characters, and a help note stating that the SSID and Wi-Fi password could not exceed ten characters. These restrictions may depend on the app or firmware version and should not be assumed universal, but they are worth planning for with an older robot.

  1. Charge the robot and place it close to the router.
  2. Confirm that a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network is available; a 5GHz-only network will not satisfy the reported requirement.
  3. If pairing fails, temporarily use a simple Wi-Fi password without special characters.
  4. Check whether the SSID or password exceeds the reported ten-character limit.
  5. If the router combines 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one name, temporarily disable band steering or create a separate 2.4GHz SSID.
  6. Reset the robot’s Wi-Fi pairing mode and retry through the current Lefant app.
  7. If smart setup remains impossible, use the physical controls or included remote if available, understanding that schedules and app features will be lost.

Do not rely on an exact button combination without checking the manual for the specific regional model. A manual reference is available here, but older manuals and regional editions may differ.

App and smart-home controls

The reported app experience is basic but functional. Available controls include starting and stopping cleaning, setting schedules, selecting suction strength, adjusting collision sensitivity, installing firmware updates, using virtual remote-control arrows, and activating a “find me” function that makes the robot beep.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Lefant also describes cleaning-path viewing and voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant. Compatibility can depend on the region, account setup, app version, cloud service, and firmware. Most importantly, app control does not turn the F1 into a mapping robot.

Depending on the version, the F1 may also offer spot cleaning or manually directed cleaning. Magnetic boundary strips provide a physical no-go solution, but they must be placed correctly and maintained. They are not equivalent to virtual boundaries drawn on a saved map.

Battery life, coverage, and docking

Lefant’s sources cite a 3,600mAh battery and advertised runtimes of roughly 200 to 210 minutes, with figures varying by source and conditions. A hands-on account reported about three hours for a full charge, approximately 15–18 minutes per 10 square meters, and practical vacuuming coverage of around 125–130 square meters in its test conditions.

These figures are not interchangeable. Runtime changes with suction mode, floor type, mop attachment, battery age, navigation behavior, and the time spent searching for or returning to the dock. “Up to 200 minutes” should not be treated as guaranteed usable cleaning time or as a promise that the robot will clean a particular home in one cycle.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Lefant says the F1 returns to its charging dock when cleaning is complete or the battery is low, and some official material describes recharge-and-resume behavior. Confirm that feature for the exact model and firmware rather than assuming every listing supports it.

For reliable docking, place the dock on level flooring with a clear approach path. Avoid narrow gaps and furniture that blocks the robot’s route. Clean the robot’s sensors, wheels, and charging contacts if it repeatedly fails to dock.

Pros and cons

Advantages

  • Very low 2.7-inch profile for cleaning beneath low furniture.
  • Approximately 600ml dustbin for its compact size.
  • Up to 4,000Pa claimed suction.
  • Brushless inlet may reduce roller-brush hair tangles.
  • Quiet operation was viewed favorably in hands-on coverage.
  • Long advertised runtime, with real-world results dependent on conditions.
  • Scheduling, suction selection, and remote control through the app.
  • Magnetic boundary-strip support.
  • Alexa and Google Assistant support reported.

Disadvantages

  • No saved floor-plan mapping.
  • Basic navigation can repeat or miss areas.
  • Obstacle avoidance is not dependable object recognition.
  • Wi-Fi setup may be difficult on some networks.
  • Mopping is a light damp wipe, not scrubbing.
  • It may wet rugs when the mop is attached.
  • No evidence of mop lifting, self-washing, self-emptying, or advanced object recognition.
  • Current availability and app longevity are uncertain for this older model.

Who should buy the Lefant F1?

A good fit

  • Small apartments: particularly those with mostly hard floors and a simple layout.
  • Low-furniture homes: where the 2.7-inch height provides access taller robots lack.
  • Routine pet-hair pickup: mainly on bare floors, with regular inlet and filter cleaning.
  • Hands-off daily maintenance: for buyers comfortable clearing the floor before runs.
  • Clearance or used shoppers: provided the robot, battery, accessories, app, and seller are verified.

A poor fit

  • Homes that need precise room-by-room cleaning.
  • Carpet-heavy homes, especially with thick, shaggy, or deeply soiled carpet.
  • Buyers expecting LiDAR or camera mapping.
  • People wanting real floor scrubbing or reliable carpet avoidance while mopping.
  • Cluttered homes with many cables, toys, thresholds, or fragile objects.
  • Anyone unwilling to troubleshoot 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or tolerate older smart-home software.
  • Buyers paying close to the original full retail price when newer mapped robots are available.

Price and availability in 2026

Historical coverage reported approximately $180 promotional pricing and a nominal $299.99 Amazon price around January 2022. Those figures are context, not current prices. The available evidence does not verify a current official F1 price, active mainstream stock, warranty terms, or accessory availability as of 2026.

If you find one, verify whether it is new, refurbished, or used; check the battery condition; confirm that the dock, mop parts, boundary strip, filter, and power adapter are included; and confirm that the Lefant app and regional voice integrations still support the model. Replacement consumables and cloud-dependent features are particularly important for an older robot.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The F1 is worth considering only at a clearly discounted clearance or used price that reflects its basic navigation and uncertain support. It is difficult to justify near historical full-retail pricing when newer robots offer saved maps, better object handling, or more advanced mopping.

What to compare before choosing an alternative

The right alternative depends on which F1 limitation matters most:

  • Want current support but similar budget positioning? Look at currently marketed Lefant models, such as the M210 Pro OMNI surfaced in Lefant’s catalog. Verify its live specifications and compatibility rather than assuming every newer feature applies to the F1.
  • Want room-level control? Choose a newer mapped robot with saved floor plans, named-room cleaning, and virtual no-go zones. It may be taller and more expensive, but it will be more predictable in multi-room homes.
  • Want serious mopping? Look for a system with powered scrubbing, mop lifting, controlled water delivery, self-washing, or another clearly documented advanced mop design. Expect a larger dock, more maintenance, and a higher cost.
  • Want simple daily vacuuming? A less feature-heavy budget robot may be preferable if you do not need the F1’s large dustbin or 4,000Pa claim.

Bottom line

The Lefant F1 was a compellingly small budget robot vacuum with useful everyday cleaning ability, a large dustbin, and a claimed suction figure that looked impressive on paper. Its low profile is still its most distinctive practical benefit.

But it is not a modern smart-navigation or deep-mopping machine. Think of it as a sensor-guided maintenance vacuum with a damp cloth, not a robot that understands your home. Buy it only when its compact clearance, hard-floor cleaning, and low price matter more than mapping, object recognition, advanced carpet handling, and long-term support.
