Jackery used CES 2026 to present more than another portable battery. Its lineup spans a rugged 1,536Wh power station, a solar-equipped outdoor structure, a larger home-backup system and an autonomous solar robot. The Explorer 1500 Ultra is the most practical of the group; the Solar Gazebo is an ambitious construction-and-energy product; and the Solar Mars Bot remains the most speculative concept.
CES 2026 took place January 6–9 in Las Vegas, where Jackery exhibited at Booth 9815 in the North Hall. The company’s official announcements describe capabilities and positioning, but they do not establish consumer pricing, shipping dates or broad US availability for every product. Explorer 1500 Ultra: the most conventional—and useful—announcement
The Explorer 1500 Ultra is the product most likely to make immediate sense to outage-preparedness and outdoor-power buyers. Jackery lists a 1,536Wh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, 1,800W of continuous AC output and 3,600W of peak output. It also claims IP65 all-weather protection, 20ms UPS switching and an operating range of 5°F to 113°F. (Jackery)

Those figures make it suitable for loads such as routers, lights, phones, laptops, communications equipment and some refrigerators. It may also run small kitchen appliances or tools, provided their sustained draw stays within the 1,800W limit and their startup surge does not trip the inverter.

- HIGH CONVERSION EFFICIENCY: ZeroKor solar panels 60W monocrystalline solar cell have a high conversion efficiency of 20.5%, and its performance is better than that of polycrystalline solar panels under the condition of insufficient light
A refrigerator, freezer, sump pump or compressor can require considerably more power during startup than its running-wattage label suggests. The 3,600W peak figure therefore should not be treated as a sustained operating rating. Usable runtime will also be lower than 1,536Wh after inverter losses, reserve settings, temperature effects and the actual duty cycle of the appliance.
What “rugged” means here
IP65 indicates protection from dust and water jets under the applicable testing conditions. It does not automatically mean the unit can be left indefinitely in standing water, salt air, snow or direct weather without additional precautions. Battery storage temperatures, charging limits and long-term UV exposure still matter.
Jackery also claims resistance to magnitude-9 earthquake forces and says the unit is 50% smaller and lighter than comparable models. Those are company claims, and the announcement does not define the comparison group or provide independent durability testing. ChargeShield 2.0 is Jackery’s name for the unit’s fast-charging technology.

Jackery claims 2,000W of solar capacity and up to 10kWh of daily generation under favorable conditions. The structure is described as using a 6063 T5 aluminum frame, with a pull-down projector screen and built-in dual-AC solar power outlets. A Jackery Japan announcement describes the gazebo in a configuration paired with the 5,040Wh Explorer 5000 Plus. (Jackery Japan announcement)
PV Magazine reported that the roof uses 20 individual 100W photovoltaic modules and cited cell efficiency of at least 25%. That detail should be kept separate from Jackery’s own headline output claims.
Why 10kWh per day is not guaranteed
A 2,000W array can theoretically produce 10kWh with five equivalent full-sun hours before conversion and storage losses. Actual production depends on latitude, season, roof orientation, louver position, shade, cloud cover, temperature, dirt and the battery’s ability to accept power.
For example, a shaded gazebo in winter may produce far less than the advertised maximum, while a well-positioned structure in strong summer sun could approach it. “Up to 10kWh per day” is a favorable-condition ceiling, not a guaranteed household yield.
The construction questions matter as much as the solar rating
The CES material does not establish whether the Solar Gazebo is a fully purchasable product, a regional offering or a prototype-style showcase. It also does not provide the details a construction buyer would need before approving an installation:

Solar Mars Bot: mobile solar generation with major unanswered questions
The Solar Mars Bot is Jackery’s most futuristic CES concept: a wheeled solar-energy-storage robot that can reposition itself toward better sunlight, follow its user and deliver power outdoors. Jackery presents it for recreation, emergency backup, inspection and rescue scenarios. (Jackery Solar Mars Bot page)
Its central idea is different from a conventional solar array. Fixed panels generate power where they are installed; a mobile platform could move to improve exposure or bring stored energy to a remote location. That flexibility comes at the cost of motors, traction hardware, navigation software, sensors, weather sealing and additional maintenance.
Jackery’s panel specifications do not match
The CES page describes a 300W auto-retractable panel system. The dedicated Mars Bot page describes six folding panels producing up to 600W when unfolded. The available material does not explain whether these figures represent different configurations, operating modes or product revisions. Both claims should therefore be reported, rather than presented as one settled specification.
Other basic consumer details are not established in the announcement material, including battery capacity, weight, dimensions, maximum load, terrain capability, slope rating, recharge time, charging outputs and price. There is also no confirmed shipping schedule or clear consumer order path.

What a real buyer would need to know
Before treating the Mars Bot as an outage solution, buyers would need answers about obstacle avoidance, manual override, navigation sensors, network failure, rain and snow operation, mud and loose terrain, stairs, nighttime behavior and safe operation around children, pets, vehicles and cables. If cameras are used, privacy and data-handling policies would also matter. Theft protection and serviceability could be just as important as solar output.
For most homeowners, a folding solar panel and conventional power station would be simpler and easier to replace. The robot becomes more compelling only where autonomous movement across a large property solves a real problem.

Jackery also presented the Explorer 5000 Plus with a Smart Transfer Switch as a larger residential backup configuration. The power station is listed at 5,040Wh, with a claimed system expansion path up to 60kWh. (Jackery CES materials)
The transfer switch is not merely a convenience accessory. It determines how backup power connects to household circuits and helps isolate the home from the utility grid. Installation must follow applicable electrical codes and use an approved connection method; a portable power station must never be improvised into household wiring.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Battery capacity and household output are different questions. A 60kWh system may provide substantial energy storage, but the inverter and transfer-switch configuration determine which loads can run at the same time. Central air conditioning, heat pumps, electric water heaters, ovens and EV chargers can exceed the available output. “Whole-home backup” should therefore be understood only after the supported circuits, load management and continuous output are specified.

How the products fit Jackery’s broader strategy
Jackery’s CES portfolio moves through three distinct energy models:
- Portable storage: The Explorer 1500 Ultra brings battery backup to a campsite, worksite or emergency load.
- Integrated outdoor infrastructure: The Solar Gazebo turns a permanent yard structure into a solar-generation and entertainment platform.
- Mobile generation: The Solar Mars Bot attempts to make solar collection and storage physically mobile.
The company is also positioning the Explorer 5000 Plus and Smart Transfer Switch as a bridge to larger residential backup. That is a broader “essential home backup” strategy rather than a single portable-power launch. (Jackery company overview)
What appears ready to buy?
The Explorer 1500 Ultra is described in conventional product terms and appears in Jackery’s current catalog, although buyers should confirm the live price, warranty and checkout availability. The Explorer 5000 Plus is likewise part of Jackery’s home-backup offering, but the complete cost includes the appropriate transfer equipment and professional electrical work.

Which option makes sense?
- Choose the Explorer 1500 Ultra if you need portable backup for electronics, lights, communications equipment, selected appliances or outdoor tools, and your loads fit its output limits.
- Consider the Explorer 5000 Plus system if you need more stored energy and can arrange compliant electrical installation and circuit planning.
- Consider the Solar Gazebo only if you already want a permanent outdoor structure, have a suitable unshaded site and are prepared to investigate permits, engineering, installation and regional availability.
- Watch the Solar Mars Bot if you are an early adopter or have a specialized use for autonomous mobile power. It is not yet a straightforward substitute for a conventional backup battery.
Bottom line
Jackery’s CES 2026 presentation is notable because it expands portable power into the yard and the home. The Explorer 1500 Ultra is the clearest practical product, but its 1,536Wh capacity still makes it a limited emergency-power station rather than a whole-home solution. The Solar Gazebo could make solar more useful in an outdoor-living project, though its real value depends on structural, electrical and permitting details that have not been published. The Solar Mars Bot is the boldest idea, but conflicting panel claims and missing core specifications make it a technology showcase for now—not a dependable purchase decision.
