Home Depot’s collection announcement says its in-store giant animatronics are under $300. That statement applies to the subset described as in-store giant animatronics; it is not a universal price ceiling for every decoration categorized as giant. The assortment includes listings above $300.
How to choose for a large outdoor display
- Start with the scene’s scale. The 11-foot mummy and 12-foot Skelly create the tallest silhouettes in this group. Check overhead clearance, sightlines from the street, and the available footprint before choosing a location.
- Choose a focal point or a supporting piece. A tall standalone figure can anchor a display, while the shorter hearse may work as a lower scene element. The pirate ship, trees, and plant monster offer distinct visual forms; the retailer’s listed feature details are limited for some models.
- Match the effect to your setup. The mummy’s motion-activated lighting and the plant monster’s motion-triggered head movement are specified features. The app-controlled Skelly offers more ways to control movement, voice, sounds, and eyes, but the listing details provided here do not establish setup requirements for that model.
- Plan the whole cost, not only the listing price. Prices can move, and the available details do not establish prices for every figure. Check the current product listing and account for any accessories or storage you intend to use.
- Plan assembly and storage before buying. A giant decoration takes more than display space: allow room for assembly, seasonal packing, and safe handling. Do not assume one model’s assembly guide applies to another.
What to know about assembling and storing the original Skelly
Home Depot’s use-and-care guide for original model 24SV24386—not the app-controlled 2026 model—specifies a 120V, 60Hz adapter, a small Phillips screwdriver, and an included M6 hex wrench. It strongly recommends three adults for one assembly step and advises using a ladder and more than two people for another high assembly step. Follow the guide for the exact model you buy, and do not improvise a solo lift for a large overhead assembly.

The original model’s product information lists eight LifeEyes options, poseable arms, and a separately sold light kit. Those details are specific to 24SV24386; they should not be treated as specifications for 26SV25555.
