Mattress Clarity’s 2026 personally tested review described the down-alternative pillow as fluffy, soft and cushiony. It estimated the Firm model at roughly 6 inches tall, while noting that FluffCo does not publish an official height measurement. The reviewer recommended Firm Fluff mainly for average-weight back and side sleepers and Soft Fluff for stomach sleepers.

That description is important: “firm” does not necessarily mean rigid or highly supportive. In this review, the firm pillow still had a plush, compressible feel. A sleeper who expects a dense, resistant pillow may find Firm Fluff too yielding.

Mattress Clarity described the down-and-feather model as more moldable and estimated approximately 4 to 5 inches of loft. Because the models use different fills and constructions, the down-alternative test result should not be used to predict exactly how the feather model will feel.

Other editorial mentions

Be careful with FluffCo’s own review page

FluffCo’s review page says SleepAdvisor tested each pillow for at least 14 consecutive nights. It also gives the Down Feather Pillow a 9.6/10 rating and claims 94% loft retention after 30 nights. Those figures are published on FluffCo’s own site, and the underlying test details were not independently confirmed in this research. Treat them as brand-published marketing rather than the same kind of evidence as an independent hands-on review.

Which FluffCo firmness is right for your sleep position?

These are fit recommendations, not medical advice. FluffCo’s older marketing pages make stronger statements about relieving aches and pains, improving sleep and helping users wake pain-free. The safest rule is simple: follow the sewn-in care label and the instructions attached to the exact product you purchased, not a generic Zen Pillow page or a search snippet.
