The table identifies the documented forms, not a promise that any one of them fits a particular room. Product codes and options can vary by country, so a US sheet should not be treated as a substitute for a current specification in another market.
What “transitions between corporate and hospitality settings” actually means
Allermuir’s product copy says, “It’s restrained simplicity is delicate and timeless allowing Bastille Lounge to act almost like a chameleon, transitioning between corporate and hospitality settings.” This is a statement of visual intent from the manufacturer. It explains why the company believes the collection can move between contexts: a relatively quiet silhouette can be given different character by the surrounding architecture, upholstery, lighting and furniture.
That wording does not establish measured comfort, durability, acoustic performance, cleaning results, code compliance or successful use at a particular traffic level. The July 24, 2024 trade article in Buildings repeats the three forms and the cross-setting positioning, but it is product coverage rather than an independent product test.
A specification-led interpretation is more useful: Bastille Lounge may provide a consistent visual language for different project types, while the project team still has to validate the physical and operational requirements of each installation.
How the wider Bastille family differs from Bastille Lounge
The Senator Group presents the broader Bastille family as hospitality-oriented and suitable for the increasingly merged corporate and hospitality interior. Its family page lists more than the three Lounge forms: armchair, lounge chair, bar stool, counter-height bar stool, pedestal stool and counter-height pedestal stool, alongside dining-related seating.

That distinction matters when a schedule uses the name “Bastille.” The wider family can furnish dining, bar and counter zones; Bastille Lounge, as documented here, is the club chair, two-seater and three-seater sofa extension. Do not assume a stool or dining chair is included in a Bastille Lounge quotation, and do not assume a family-level statement proves the performance of every individual variant. Start with the seating count and circulation pattern, then test the selected code against the current regional drawing. The three forms create an obvious progression, but a room’s usable capacity depends on more than the nominal number of seats.

A club chair is the most flexible unit for a reception, executive waiting area, library corner or small conversation group. Several chairs can be arranged around a low table without committing the plan to a long fixed footprint. That flexibility can help a corporate project create a less formal hospitality feel, or let a hotel vary group sizes during the day.
Check the chair’s outside width and depth, the space needed to pull it away from a table, and the clearance required behind a seated user. Confirm whether the available base or frame options suit the floor finish and whether replacement covers or components are offered in the target region.
BST200 two-seater
The two-seater gives a defined shared position without the footprint of a full sofa. It can work in a reception bay, a private club-style nook or a small hotel lounge. On a corporate floor, it may support informal one-to-one conversations; in hospitality, it can pair with occasional tables or sit in a sequence of identical bays.

Measure the complete installed width, not just the nominal seat count. Leave room for side tables, cleaning access and the movement of people carrying luggage, trays or work materials. If the sofa is placed back-to-back with another piece, confirm the combined depth and the route for delivery.

The three-seater is the most substantial Lounge form and can anchor a larger seating island. It may suit a hotel lobby, members’ lounge or corporate collaboration zone where several people need to sit together. A longer piece also makes upholstery selection and visual alignment more prominent, so inspect a full-size finish sample rather than judging only a small swatch.
Confirm the sofa’s current external dimensions, door and lift access, turning radius and final position before ordering. A drawing that fits on paper can still fail at the building entrance or in a tight lift lobby.
Making the same silhouette read as corporate or hospitality
The product does not change identity when it moves between sectors; the interior around it does. A restrained chair can read as corporate in a disciplined palette of task lighting, timber and neutral upholstery, or as hospitality furniture when grouped with softer lighting, rugs, artwork and low occasional tables. - Durability, abrasion cycles, load ratings or failure rates.
- Suitability for a specified traffic class, healthcare environment or public-sector standard.
- Fire, environmental, accessibility or building-code compliance in a particular jurisdiction.
- Cleaning results under a hotel, restaurant, workplace or event-venue regime.
- Sustainability claims, recycled content, repairability or end-of-life arrangements.
These are procurement questions requiring the applicable technical sheet, certificates, warranty terms and, where necessary, independent testing. Treating a design claim as a performance guarantee
“Transitions” describes appearance and intended adaptability. It does not replace evidence for heavy-use upholstery, fire certification or long-term maintenance. Separate the design brief from the technical submittal.
Mixing family products in the schedule
