The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 is a commercially available portable power station, launched on August 19, 2025, with retail availability beginning September 8, 2025. Its headline strengths are a 1,600W UltraFast charging mode, a claimed 49-minute AC recharge, 2,000W of continuous AC output and a 10ms UPS transfer. The important compromise is that its 1,024Wh battery is fixed: unlike the original C1000, the Gen 2 cannot accept an expansion battery.
Anker says Guinness World Records certified it on August 14, 2025, as the “Fastest Recharging Portable Power Station (1kWh).” That is a specific 1kWh-category claim, not proof that it is the fastest portable power station of every size or configuration.

What “fastest” means here
Anker says the C1000 Gen 2 is the fastest-recharging portable power station in the 1kWh class. Its official launch page says Guinness World Records certified the product on August 14, 2025, in the category “Fastest Recharging Portable Power Station (1kWh).” The category, certification date and charging conditions matter; the evidence does not establish an unrestricted claim that it is the fastest power station of any capacity.
Read the claim as follows: Anker advertises a full recharge in 49 minutes when the unit is in its specified UltraFast configuration. It is not a universal 49-minute result for every charging mode, cable, temperature or operating condition. See Anker’s explanation of the certification and charging setup at Anker’s C1000 Gen 2 overview.

How the 49-minute recharge works
- Install or open the Anker app and enable UltraFast Recharging.
- Connect the station with the supplied Anker AC charging cable.
- Use the resulting 1,600W UltraFast input mode; the listed standard AC limit is 1,200W.
- Keep the battery within the stated charging range of 32°F to 104°F.
Anker warns against incompatible third-party charging cables, which may damage the unit. Charging time can also change with battery temperature and other operating conditions. Therefore, 49 minutes is a manufacturer claim under specified conditions, not an independently measured promise for every household outlet or usage pattern.
Gen 2 versus the original C1000
| Feature | C1000 Gen 2 | Original C1000 |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 1,024Wh | 1,056Wh |

| Solar input | 600W | 600W |
| Expansion battery | No | Yes |
| Dimensions | 15.1 × 8.2 × 9.6in | 14.8 × 8.1 × 10.4in |
The Gen 2 is faster, lighter, more powerful and quicker to switch into UPS operation, but its capacity is slightly lower and its battery is not expandable. Anker’s comparison identifies the original C1000 as the better choice for users who need modular capacity: Anker comparison and specifications.
What it can realistically power
A 2,000W inverter covers many portable loads:
- Refrigerators and freezers during a short outage
- CPAP machines
- Laptops, monitors, routers and lighting
- Televisions and other consumer electronics
- Small kitchen appliances and some power tools
Anker illustrates the capacity with a 100W refrigerator, a 40W CPAP machine and a 1,000W kettle. Those are manufacturer examples, not independently verified runtime tests. Actual runtime is lower than a simple 1,024Wh calculation because inverter losses, battery-management limits, temperature, battery state and simultaneous loads all matter.

Output and capacity solve different problems. The 2,000W rating determines whether a demanding appliance can operate; it does not make the battery last longer. A kettle, hot plate, hair dryer or space heater may fit below the output limit yet drain roughly 1kWh very quickly. The station is not a whole-house battery and cannot be expected to run central HVAC or every household circuit.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteHome backup, UPS and medical equipment
The C1000 Gen 2 is useful for appliance-level backup: a refrigerator, CPAP machine, modem, router, laptop, lights or selected small appliances. Its claimed 10ms UPS transfer can help keep sensitive electronics running through a brief interruption.
That figure is not a universal compatibility certification. Medical-device users should confirm power requirements with the device manufacturer or clinician, and mission-critical equipment should have an appropriate backup plan. The fixed 1,024Wh capacity also makes the Gen 2 better suited to short outages than multi-day home backup.

Solar charging and off-grid use
The solar input ceiling is 600W and the maximum solar voltage is 60V. Anker advertises a full solar recharge in approximately 1.8 hours under its stated conditions. A 600W maximum is an input limit, not a guaranteed harvest: shade, cloud, panel angle, season, temperature and cable losses reduce real output.
Check the array’s voltage and current before connecting panels; exceeding 60V is unsafe. Anker lists compatible 100W, 200W and 400W panel options on the product page. Solar panels are not included with the basic station unless selected as part of a bundle.
Durability, contents and operating limits
Anker says the LiFePO₄ battery retains at least 80% of its original capacity after 4,000 charge cycles and markets the station for up to 10 years of use. This is a manufacturer durability claim, not a guarantee of decade-long identical performance. Heat, storage charge level, depth of discharge, charging temperature and frequency affect aging.

Who should buy it
- Fast-recharge users: UltraFast wall charging is valuable when repeated short outages or frequent trips leave little time to recharge.
- High-output portable users: The 2,000W continuous rating handles more demanding appliances than the original C1000 and many lighter 1kWh models.
- Campers, RV owners and mobile workers: The 24.9lb form factor, app control, USB-C output and 600W solar ceiling suit portable setups.
- Short-outage households: It can keep selected appliances and electronics operating, provided the fixed capacity matches the expected outage.
Who should skip it
- Buyers who need expansion batteries or multi-day energy storage.
- Anyone seeking whole-home backup rather than selected appliances and circuits.
- Existing C1000 owners whose priority is capacity, not faster recharge or a higher inverter rating.
- Buyers who need specialized medical, RV or mission-critical UPS certification.
- Shoppers for whom the lowest weight, smallest footprint, broadest USB-C selection or a different service network matters more than 2,000W output.

|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | 1,024Wh, expandable from 1–5kWh, 1,800W output, 2,200W surge with X-Boost, under-10ms UPS claim and five-year warranty | Lower continuous output; official US page showed $649 sale pricing versus $799 at capture, so price is promotional and date-sensitive |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070Wh, approximately 23.8lb, dual 100W USB-C, 1,500W output and four-year-cycle claim to at least 70% capacity | Lower inverter rating and no 49-minute/1,600W charging claim; official US page showed $549 standalone pricing on August 18, 2026 |
| Original Anker C1000 | Expandable 1,056Wh platform and 1,800W output | Slower claimed recharge, 20ms UPS response and lower maximum AC input |
EcoFlow’s and Jackery’s prices above were the figures displayed on their US pages when captured and can change with promotions, region and bundles. Compare warranty, expansion, charging method, weight and service support—not capacity alone.
Verdict
The C1000 Gen 2 is a strong choice when rapid wall charging and a 2,000W inverter matter more than modular capacity. Its most useful distinction is not simply “fastest”: it is Anker’s certified 1kWh-category recharge claim, achieved only with app-enabled UltraFast mode, the supplied cable and suitable conditions.
Choose the original C1000 or a different platform if expansion, multi-day storage or a broader home-energy ecosystem is the priority. For portable, appliance-level backup and frequent trips where a roughly 1kWh battery is enough, the Gen 2’s speed, output and 10ms UPS response make the trade-off clear.
