AiDot’s Matter air-purifier milestone dates to January 2024, not a new 2026 launch. Its WELOV P200 Pro was certified by the Connectivity Standards Alliance on January 3, 2024, and announced on January 5 as the first Matter-certified air purifier listed by the CSA. WELOV said retail release was planned for March 2024. The certification is real, but it does not guarantee identical controls in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings, nor does it make every AiDot appliance Matter-compatible.
What AiDot actually announced
WELOV is an AiDot brand focused on air care. The announced product was the WELOV P200 Pro Smart Air Purifier, also called the “P200 Matter Pro” in some material. The CSA record identifies an air-purifier device (primary device type ID 0x002D), certificate CSA24006MAT42681-24, Matter specification 1.2, firmware 1.00.00, hardware 1.0.0, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. See the CSA certification record and the January 5, 2024 announcement.

“First” should be read as a claim attributed to AiDot/WELOV and the CSA listing, rather than as an independently audited survey of every purifier sold worldwide. The announcement also promised an upgraded Sleep Mode and a March 2024 release through WELOV’s Amazon and AiDot stores; those historical plans are not proof of current stock.

What Matter changes—and what it does not
Matter is an interoperability standard, not a test of CADR, filtration efficiency, noise or energy use. A certified purifier can be commissioned into compatible smart-home ecosystems instead of being confined to the manufacturer’s application. AiDot documentation covers Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings, but each platform needs a Matter controller or hub. The AiDot app remains a separate control path.

- Certification: the model passed the applicable CSA Matter process at the recorded firmware and hardware versions.
- Platform support: a home platform may expose only the functions it implements for that device type.
- Manufacturer features: detailed PM2.5 data, filter estimates, schedules, Sleep Mode, night-light settings, historical charts and firmware updates may remain in AiDot’s app.
- Local operation: Matter can improve interoperability, but certification alone does not prove that every function works locally or that cloud services are unnecessary.
AiDot’s Matter help center has separate setup guidance for SmartThings, Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartLife. Confirm current firmware and platform behavior before treating a feature as guaranteed.
P200 Pro specifications and the coverage discrepancy
| Item | Published information |
|---|---|
| Filter stages | Pre-filter, True HEPA and activated carbon, according to AiDot |
| Sensing and modes | PM2.5 sensor, automatic purification mode and an improved Sleep Mode |
| Noise claim | 23 dB, a manufacturer-listed figure whose applicable operating mode is not independently established here |
| Coverage claims | Up to 1,570 sq ft in one hour and a 315-sq-ft room in 12 minutes in marketing copy; the specification table lists 1,077 sq ft (100 m²) |
| Connectivity | Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; Matter 1.2 certification |
| Certification build | Firmware 1.00.00, hardware 1.0.0; certificate CSA24006MAT42681-24 |
| Weight | 9.2 lb |
| Filter replacement | Approximately every three to six months, depending on use and local air quality |
| Other claims | FCC and CARB certification claims; warm night-light, AiDot-app control and voice-assistant support |
AiDot gives both 1,077 and 1,570 square feet, without explaining the test assumptions behind the difference. Room volume, ceiling height, air changes per hour and the definition of “purify” can produce different results. Use the smaller figure as the conservative reference and look for independently reported CADR when sizing a purifier; do not treat the largest headline number as a universal room rating. Specifications are from the P200 Pro product page.

Which controls appear in each ecosystem?
No single published matrix establishes feature parity across all platforms. The safest buying assumption is that basic controls may transfer while detailed air-quality and maintenance data require verification.

Setup requirements and a safe commissioning path
AiDot’s general Matter documentation calls for a Matter-compatible platform, its controller or hub, a stable 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi network, internet access during setup, IPv6 on the local network and Bluetooth enabled on the phone when required. Update the purifier in the AiDot app first. The current P200 manual should determine the exact button sequence for pairing mode; a universal P200-specific sequence is not established in the available documentation.
- Put the purifier into Matter pairing mode using the current P200 Pro manual.
- In Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings, choose the option to add a Matter device.
- Scan the Matter QR code or enter the numeric setup code supplied with the purifier.
- Assign the device to the intended home and room, then wait for commissioning.
- Test power and fan-speed control before creating automations.
- Check separately for PM2.5 readings, filter information, Sleep Mode, auto mode and night-light controls.
- For another ecosystem, use Matter multi-admin sharing when supported. AiDot says the original setup code may be usable only for the first ecosystem; the first ecosystem may need to generate a new sharing code.
AiDot’s setup document is available at this PDF.
If pairing fails
- Confirm that the purifier is actually in pairing mode, then restart it and the router.
- Commission over 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi and confirm IPv6 is available.
- Ensure the phone and Matter controller are on the intended home network.
- If the router is WPA3-only, test a compatible WPA2 or mixed-security network; AiDot warns that not all devices support WPA3.
- Update firmware in the AiDot app and retry.
- Reset the purifier only after recording schedules and existing integrations.
- If it was commissioned elsewhere, generate a new sharing code from the first ecosystem.
- If it joins successfully but exposes few controls, treat that as a platform/device feature limitation rather than a failed pairing.
The WPA3 warning is documented by AiDot at its Wi-Fi Matter support page.

Availability, filters and model identification
Retail signals are volatile. An AiDot snapshot checked August 18, 2026 showed a P200 Pro listing at $88.99 against a $209.99 reference price, while another WELOV catalog view marked it sold out. The P100 Pro snapshot showed $45.99 against $120.99. These are observed listing prices, not guaranteed current prices or durable MSRP figures; check live checkout availability and region.
Before ordering, confirm the exact SKU, Matter logo or QR code, firmware support and return terms. Visually similar P100, P100 Pro, P200 and P200S/P200 Pro names appear across listings. Replacement filters are a continuing cost: AiDot’s P200S/P200 Pro filter page showed a white filter at $32.99 against a $50.99 reference price, with pet- and smoke-oriented variants also listed. Verify compatibility and stock at the replacement-filter page.
Who should buy the P200 Pro?
A reasonable fit
- You specifically need a purifier that can join a Matter-based Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings setup.
- PM2.5 sensing, automatic operation and app control matter more than independently measured CADR data.
- You accept that the AiDot app may expose more information and modes than a third-party platform.
- You have confirmed filter availability and can size the unit conservatively for the room.
Reasons to pause
- You require every feature, including PM2.5 values, filter life and Sleep Mode, inside one particular platform.
- Your network is 5-GHz-only for onboarding, WPA3-only without compatibility mode, or lacks usable IPv6.
- You want independently tested CADR, noise, energy consumption or filtration performance rather than manufacturer specifications.
- The listing does not clearly distinguish the certified P200 Pro from another P100/P200 variant.
- You expect Matter to remove the need for the AiDot app or cloud services.
Bottom line on the Matter milestone
The WELOV P200 Pro is a significant certification milestone: the CSA record documents a Matter 1.2 air purifier certified in January 2024. Its practical value depends on the controller, firmware, platform implementation, network and the controls you actually need. Treat coverage, noise, health-related and app-feature statements as manufacturer claims; verify the model, current stock, replacement filters and platform behavior before buying.
