Xiaomi’s Mijia brand announced a 4L smart variable-pressure induction-heating (IH) rice cooker in mainland China on September 8, 2025. Launch coverage reported three selectable pressure settings—1.0×, 1.2× and 2.0×—and a CNY 1,999 price. It is a China-market launch, not proof of current availability or compatibility in other regions.
What Xiaomi announced
IT之家 described the cooker as Mijia’s first smart variable-pressure IH rice cooker and said its 4L capacity was intended for households of four to five. The announcement and household-size description refer to the mainland China product reported in 2025. IT之家’s launch coverage is the source for these launch details.
Pressure settings and launch specifications
Launch reporting relayed Xiaomi’s stated specifications. The figures below are product claims, not independent performance test results.

Xiaomi also claimed that its long-boil technology was designed to improve rice aroma and texture, that the cooker could keep rice warm for eight hours, and that its quick-cook mode could cook rice in 14 minutes. These are advertised claims relayed in launch coverage; they should not be read as independently verified timings or results.

Launch price and sale date
IT之家 reported a presale price of CNY 1,999 on September 8, 2025. Its follow-up reported that the cooker went on sale in China on September 15, 2025, at CNY 1,999. A coupon and national-subsidy combination was reported to reduce the price to CNY 1,479.2 for eligible buyers at that time. That discount was conditional and historical, not a current price quote. Is the Mijia Smart IH Rice Cooker P1 4L the same model?
No. The Mijia Smart IH Rice Cooker P1 4L is a separate, later product, reported on sale on April 8, 2026. Its coverage listed 1.2× pressure, a 2.5 mm titanium pot and an introductory price of CNY 1,099. Those details belong to the P1, not the 2025 variable-pressure cooker. The introductory price is not evidence of its current price. IT之家’s P1 coverage identifies that later model.

What to check before buying outside China
The 2025 launch reporting does not establish current stock, authorized sellers, cross-border shipping, voltage compatibility, local warranty coverage or replacement-pot compatibility. Xiaomi UK Support lists regional Multifunctional IH Rice Cooker models and gives 1,200 W for its 4L variant, but that does not establish that the UK model is the same as the 2025 China variable-pressure cooker. - Check the exact model number and sales region; a shared 4L capacity does not prove two cookers are the same model.
- Confirm local voltage, plug and warranty terms with the seller or manufacturer before ordering.
- Verify that Mi Home and Xiao Ai functions are supported in the region where the cooker will be used.
- Do not assume generic Xiaomi cooker accessories or replacement pots fit this model; model-specific compatibility has not been established.
How to compare it with another cooker
Compare verified model specifications rather than relying on the variable-pressure name alone. Useful points include pressure modes, heating method and rated power, inner-pot material and thickness, capacity, app and voice-control region support, warranty, and the delivered price in your market. The launch claims do not establish tested rice quality or a fair performance ranking against other cookers.
