Liquid Death said it made just one for sale, and its official auction collection currently marks it sold out. The 2024 listing advertised a $1,500 starting bid; that was the auction’s opening bid, not a confirmed final sale price.
Can you buy the YETI x Liquid Death Casket Cooler?
Not through Liquid Death’s official auction listing: the collection labels the item “Sold out.” Liquid Death’s product page also says, “But when we say ‘one-of-a-kind’ we mean it. We only made one Casket Cooler for sale.” That makes it a singular promotional item, not a production line with standard models or a promised restock. Liquid Death’s product listing and its auction collection are the official status sources.

That status does not establish whether the cooler might appear in a private resale. Third-party availability and prices are separate from the official auction and can change.
How much did it cost?
The official listing set a $1,500 starting bid for the 2024 auction. It also specified a minimum bid increment of $20 and a maximum increment of $100. The listing does not establish the final sale price, so $1,500 should not be described as what the winning bidder paid.

The auction was scheduled to open August 28, 2024, at 9 a.m. PST and close August 30 at noon PST, subject to revision. Its terms allowed a soft close if a bid arrived in the final minute. Eligibility was limited to adults with a delivery address in the contiguous United States; delivery was described as free white-glove service, with an estimated four-to-six-week delivery window. These were historical terms for that auction, not a current offer.
What were the listed dimensions and capacity?
Liquid Death described a life-size casket-shaped cooler with an exterior measuring 83 × 28 × 23 inches. Its listed weight was 85 pounds, and its capacity was 435 liters, or 15.35 cubic feet. The brand estimated that it could hold approximately 378 12-ounce cans or 252 19.2-ounce cans without ice.
Those figures are the manufacturer’s listing specifications; they are not independent measurements or hands-on test results. The can counts are stated without ice, so they should not be treated as the number of drinks it would hold when packed with ice.

The product listing described a 20-gauge steel exterior casing and Triple Foam ColdCell insulation using YETI technology. It also listed T-Latch lid locks, a hydraulic piston for the lid, and two drain valves. The listing presented the cooler for packaged food and beverages, with Liquid Death drinks promoted as its intended contents.
These are the brand’s stated materials and features. The available listing does not provide independent performance testing, such as measured ice-retention duration, or establish how the cooler compares with a conventional YETI model in field use.
What did the listing say about Liquid Death beverages?
The product page included descriptions of the drinks associated with the cooler. Liquid Death described Mountain Water as 100% mountain water; its flavored sparkling water as containing 20 calories and 4 grams of agave; and its iced tea as containing 30 calories, 6 grams of sugar from agave, and 30 mg of natural caffeine. Those are the brand’s descriptions, not an independent nutritional analysis.
Is there another Casket Cooler model?
No other Casket Cooler model is established by the official listing: Liquid Death said only one was made for sale. YETI’s general cooler category provides context for the brand’s broader product range, but it is not evidence of a mass-market Casket Cooler. A comparison with ordinary coolers would need to use specific models and their current capacities, portability, insulation details, and prices.
