How do I register my Samsung refrigerator?
Samsung’s online registration flow is available through its U.S. product registration page. The exact prompts can vary, so follow the account flow rather than relying on a fixed button sequence.
- Sign in to the Samsung account associated with the purchase or SmartThings setup.
- Open the registration flow and check My Products for the refrigerator. Samsung says products purchased on Samsung.com or connected to SmartThings may already be registered to the account used.
- If the refrigerator is not listed, select the product category or model as prompted, then enter the requested model code and serial number.
- Complete any verification prompt, then return to My Products to confirm the refrigerator appears and review its product details.
Samsung also lists QR code, device activation, Samsung Members, and Samsung.com as registration routes. Which route is available depends on the refrigerator and setup; SmartThings-connected appliances are automatically registered according to Samsung’s U.S. registration information. If the flow cannot validate the model or serial number, use Samsung’s model-finding help or contact support. Samsung notes that temporary account-access problems can occur, so a failed attempt does not necessarily mean the refrigerator is ineligible.
Where do I find the serial number on my Samsung refrigerator?
Use the number printed on the refrigerator itself, not the shipping box. Samsung’s account instructions describe the serial number as 11 digits and may ask for its last digit to complete an incomplete registration. Depending on the flow, you may also need the model code. Is my Samsung refrigerator already registered?
Sign in to the Samsung account you used to buy or set up the refrigerator and open My Products. Look for the appliance and open its details. Samsung says Samsung.com purchases and SmartThings-connected products may already be registered, so checking the account first can avoid creating a duplicate or starting an unnecessary registration.

Does registering my Samsung refrigerator start the warranty?
No. Samsung’s U.S. warranty page says standard coverage starts automatically on the purchase date; registration is useful for managing product information, warranty details, service requests, repair history, and support, but it is not the event that starts standard coverage. Samsung summarizes the distinction this way: “Your coverage starts automatically on the purchase date, but registering your product provides even more benefits, offers and support.”
Coverage depends on the exact refrigerator model. Samsung’s U.S. page describes a one-year manufacturer’s warranty for most refrigerators, five years of parts and labor coverage for sealed systems, and 10 years of parts coverage plus five years of labor coverage for the digital inverter compressor. What do I do if my Samsung warranty date is wrong?
Registration and warranty-date validation are separate tasks. If the displayed date is incorrect, Samsung directs owners to open My Page & Products, select View Product Details, and follow the warranty-validation prompts. Be prepared to provide proof of purchase or delivery. Samsung’s registration information says the evidence should identify the retailer, purchase date, product, itemized price, and paid total.
