The Furniture Gallery’s Claremont showroom was scheduled to open on 30 August 2025 at the corner of Stirling Highway and Leura Avenue, opposite Bunnings Warehouse. PerthNow’s report on the planned opening described a boutique flagship bringing together furniture, homewares, local art and locally made body products. That report does not confirm whether the showroom, its artist program or its listed products are still available in October 2026.
What the Claremont showroom was designed to offer
PerthNow described the Claremont site as The Furniture Gallery’s fifth showroom and a place for shoppers in Perth’s western suburbs to explore a fully styled home rather than view furniture as isolated pieces. Director Sophie Langa said the showrooms were designed like galleries, with styled vignettes intended to help customers imagine whole-home interiors.
The company called the Claremont location a boutique flagship and an inspiration hub. Its positioning was to combine furniture and homewares with art and locally made products. The report conveys the retailer’s own design and quality claims; it does not provide independent price comparisons, product testing or customer research.
Artists and makers named in the opening coverage
Victoria Paxton: the first artist-in-residence
The planned first artist-in-residence was Victoria Paxton, a Claremont-based stoneware sculptor and ceramicist. The report described her work as including leaf- and feather-inspired incense holders, along with organic-form fruit bowls and vases.

PerthNow credited interiors architect Bryan Ho with transforming a previously vacant second-storey space. The design was described as using sleek lines, textured finishes and considered lighting.
