Usa il sistema di montaggio previsto e segui il manuale specifico per alimentazione, collegamenti e uso in esterni o ambienti umidi: requisiti e accessori cambiano da un modello all’altro.
1. Pianifica il percorso e misura la striscia
Decidi dove far passare la striscia — per esempio dietro una TV, sotto un pensile o lungo un bordo — e misura il tracciato completo. Includi le curve e controlla che il cavo raggiunga comodamente la presa. La guida Philips Hue all’installazione raccomanda di verificare percorso e lunghezza prima del montaggio.
Prima di scegliere un kit, controlla anche se è destinato a interni o esterni, quali tagli consente, quali alimentatore e controller sono inclusi, se gli scarti possono essere riutilizzati e quale fissaggio o accessori prevede. Se vuoi integrarlo in un ecosistema smart, verifica la compatibilità dichiarata per quel modello.
2. Prova il kit prima di fissarlo
Collega striscia ed eventuali estensioni seguendo il manuale e controlla che funzionino e che il percorso sia quello desiderato. Poi scollega l’alimentazione prima di procedere al montaggio. Provare in anticipo evita di scoprire solo dopo il fissaggio che una sezione o un’estensione non funziona.

3. Taglia solo nei punti indicati
Individua le linee di taglio riportate sulla striscia e consulta le istruzioni prima di usare le forbici: non tagliare in un punto qualsiasi. Per i prodotti Hue, la guida spiega che quelle linee corrispondono ai confini dei circuiti.
Non dare per scontato che la sezione tagliata possa essere riutilizzata o ricollegata. La guida Hue menziona un connettore dedicato per alcuni prodotti, mentre la scheda Philips WiZ RGB da 10 m specifica che le sezioni tagliate non possono essere riattaccate. Verifica la regola per il tuo modello prima di tagliare.

4. Fissa la striscia e nascondi i cavi
Usa il fissaggio previsto dal kit e adatto alla superficie. Per i modelli Hue da interno descritti nella guida, il supporto è adesivo; per alcuni modelli Hue da esterno sono indicate clip incluse. Non presumere che questi metodi o accessori valgano per tutte le strisce.
Per una finitura ordinata, instrada i cavi lungo battiscopa, mobili o bordi della parete; la guida Hue cita anche i copricavi. Prima di rimuovere la protezione adesiva o fissare clip e accessori, controlla che la striscia segua il tracciato senza tensioni e che il kit preveda quel tipo di montaggio.

5. Collega l’alimentazione secondo il manuale
Le strisce LED non condividono necessariamente la stessa tensione o lo stesso schema di alimentazione. Usa l’alimentatore e gli eventuali componenti indicati per il tuo modello; non collegare direttamente una striscia alla rete elettrica a meno che il produttore lo prescriva espressamente.
La guida Philips InteGrade UB dell’aprile 2019 riguarda uno specifico sistema professionale: indica 24 V CC, richiede il driver previsto e vieta il collegamento del LED alla tensione di rete. Queste specifiche non si trasferiscono automaticamente a un kit consumer di un’altra famiglia. La guida precisa inoltre che le sue istruzioni non sostituiscono le normative elettriche locali o internazionali.

6. Verifica che il luogo sia adatto al modello
Controlla sulla confezione o nella scheda tecnica la destinazione d’uso e il grado IP, quindi confrontali con l’esposizione prevista. Non considerare una striscia da interno automaticamente adatta a esterni o ambienti umidi. Per esempio, la scheda WiZ RGB da 10 m citata sopra indica IP20: non presentarla come adatta a condizioni per cui il produttore non la dichiara idonea. Philips Hue distingue prodotti da interno e da esterno, ma non esiste un grado IP universale per tutte le strisce.

Dove si taglia una striscia LED?
Solo sulle linee di taglio indicate sul prodotto, dopo aver controllato il manuale del modello.
Posso ricollegare il pezzo tagliato?
Dipende dal modello: alcuni prodotti prevedono un connettore compatibile, mentre la scheda della striscia WiZ RGB da 10 m citata nella guida dice che i tratti tagliati non possono essere riattaccati.
Posso montare una striscia LED all’esterno?
Solo se il modello è dichiarato adatto a quell’ambiente e il suo grado IP è compatibile con l’esposizione prevista. La WiZ RGB da 10 m descritta nell’articolo è IP20.
Posso collegare direttamente la striscia LED alla rete elettrica?
Segui il manuale del modello: alimentazione e tensione variano. La guida Philips InteGrade UB consultata vieta il collegamento diretto alla rete per quello specifico sistema a 24 V CC.
