7 Extravagant Homes Reportedly Linked to F1 Drivers

From Lewis Hamilton’s Colorado retreat to reported Monaco apartments and a 2,500-acre Hampshire holding, these F1-linked homes show contrasting ideas of luxury.

These seven homes stand out for their setting, scale or the stories their owners have shared—not as a verified ranking of the richest Formula 1 drivers or their most expensive properties. Public reporting is uneven, and some details are estimates or historical reports. The order is editorial; no private addresses are included.

Why so many F1 drivers call Monaco home

Monaco is a recurring address in Formula 1 coverage, but residence reports change over time and should not be treated as a current headcount. Motorsport.com reported that nine of the 20 drivers on the grid in 2024 lived in the principality; that is a historical snapshot, not a 2026 figure. The appeal of an urban base is easy to understand for a traveling driver, but that context does not establish any individual’s reasons for choosing a home.

The properties below illustrate very different versions of extravagance: a reported harbor-side residence, a London house with a substantial garden, a Colorado retreat rich in family memories, a lakeside estate and a working rural holding. The reporting is not consistent enough to compare them by price.

Seven strikingly reported F1 homes

1. Lewis Hamilton’s reported Monaco residence

In March 2025, realestate.com.au reported that Hamilton’s Monaco residence was valued at about US$24.5 million and located in Fontvieille. Those are media-reported details, not confirmed title records, and the article notes that Hamilton has kept information about the property quiet. House & Garden has reported a Monaco purchase at a different estimated price, underscoring why a precise value should not be treated as settled.

The setting is the clearest point of contrast with a country estate: Monaco’s high-density, harbor-side urban life is a very different idea of luxury from acreage and seclusion.

2. Lewis Hamilton’s reported West London home

Hamilton’s London property has been described in coverage as a six-bedroom West London estate acquired in 2017. House & Garden reports a 200-foot garden and a guest summer house; realestate.com.au describes a garden, summer house, four reception rooms and two large bathrooms. These reports offer a more concrete picture of the home than many driver-property stories, but published value estimates differ, so there is no single figure to present as authoritative.

The notable feature is the combination of a substantial private garden and generous entertaining space within London, rather than a rural setting.

3. Lewis Hamilton’s Colorado home

Of the homes associated with Hamilton, Colorado is the one he has described most personally. In remarks published by realestate.com.au and House & Garden, and reported as originating in a BBC interview, he said: “In my winter, I go to the mountains [in Colorado], which I really see as my main home, because it’s a house and it’s full of love and memories from people, the family that come every winter.”

That description makes this entry less about a reported valuation or architectural feature and more about the role a seasonal mountain home plays in family life. Hamilton has publicly called it his main home in that context, even as other coverage associates him with Monaco and London.

4. Michael Schumacher’s Lake Geneva estate

Country Life reports that Schumacher has long lived on a 15-acre estate on Lake Geneva. The available account provides little dependable interior detail, so the defensible picture is broad: a sizeable lakeside property in Switzerland, rather than a documented tour of rooms or amenities.

Its reported acreage and waterfront setting distinguish it from the compact urban apartments often associated with Monaco. No claim about the estate’s current condition or private family life is necessary to understand that contrast.

5. Jody Scheckter’s Laverstoke estate

Country Life describes Scheckter’s Laverstoke holding in Hampshire as a 2,500-acre estate associated with biodynamic farming. The publication reported that Savills brought the property to market in 2025 for £58 million. That is a historical listing figure, not evidence of a current asking price, completed sale or present valuation.

Laverstoke’s distinction is that its scale is tied to a working rural landscape. It is a different kind of extravagance from a city residence: land and farming are central to the reported story.

6. Lando Norris’s Monaco home

Realestate.com.au reported that Norris announced a move to Monaco in 2021. In the post reproduced by the outlet, he wrote: “Say hello to my new home!” and added, “The place isn’t finished yet but I’ll be living here in Monaco when I’m not in the factory or at the track next year.” The statement documents his plans at that time; it does not provide a current property tour or establish present ownership details.

The same article points to a Sky Sports virtual tour of Norris’s previous UK house, which showed a car, racing simulator and F1 memorabilia. That was his former UK home, not evidence that those features are in his Monaco residence.

7. Oscar Piastri’s reported Monte Carlo apartment

Realestate.com.au reported in 2025, citing CodeSports, that Piastri moved from the UK in 2024 and bought an apartment in Monte Carlo. The purchase and related claims about neighbors are secondary reporting, not a firsthand account or confirmed property record.

The same coverage quotes Piastri describing the demands of the calendar: “I think last season, we added it up, and it was maybe 100 (nights at home), so just over three months.” His estimate helps explain why a convenient base may matter to a driver whose season involves extensive travel; it does not establish the apartment’s size or amenities.

What the homes reveal—and what the reports do not

These examples are not seven comparable listings. The available reporting ranges from a driver’s own description of a home’s emotional significance to broad location reports and a historical estate listing. It does not provide a consistent set of valuations, ownership records or interior features across all seven.

  • Different forms of luxury: Monaco and Monte Carlo are urban settings; Colorado and Lake Geneva offer mountain or waterfront context; Laverstoke is described as a large working estate.
  • Uneven detail: Hamilton’s properties receive comparatively extensive coverage, while Schumacher’s estate is reported mainly by location and acreage.
  • Not a wealth ranking: No comparable, audited driver-wealth ranking is linked to seven matching home valuations. The homes cannot be ordered reliably by cost.
  • Status can change: Property reporting may describe a plan, purchase, past ownership or historical listing. House & Garden reports that Hamilton’s New York Tribeca penthouse was sold in 2021, one example of why a reported portfolio should not be read as a list of homes currently owned.

For a broader look at Monaco’s place in F1 life, see Motorsport.com’s explanation of why many F1 stars live in Monaco. Hamilton’s reported properties are covered by realestate.com.au and House & Garden; the rural properties are discussed by Country Life.
