Kenmore’s current purifier lineup has five models, from the compact 348e PM1010 to the SMART 2300e PM4030. The right choice depends on the room’s cleaning needs and which features matter to you—not just the largest coverage number. One important qualification: Kenmore’s published room areas are based on one air change per hour, a relatively slow cleaning rate that should not be compared directly with coverage figures based on more frequent air changes.
Compare the five current Kenmore air purifiers
Kenmore Floor Care currently lists five models. The CADR figures below come from Kenmore’s 2025 catalog; room-area claims are Kenmore’s and use one air change per hour. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from an independent comparison.
| Model | Coverage at one air change per hour | CADR in Kenmore’s 2025 catalog | Reported features and noise |
|---|---|---|---|
| 348e PM1010 | 348 sq. ft. | 45 CFM | Aromatherapy diffuser; three speeds; 23 dB on low |
| 850e PM1005 | 850 sq. ft. | 110 CFM | Three speeds; 25 dB |
| 1200e PM2010 | 1,200 sq. ft. | 160 CFM in the 2025 catalog | Five speeds; air-quality sensing; 24 dB on low |
| 1500e PM3020 | 1,500 sq. ft. | 200 CFM | Five speeds; air-quality sensing; 24 dB on low |
| SMART 2300e PM4030 | 2,300 sq. ft. | 300 CFM | App connectivity; five speeds; air-quality sensing; 24 dB on low |
Kenmore’s 2025 catalog reports 99.97% filter efficiency at 0.3 microns and a six-month filter life. Those are Kenmore’s published figures, not independently verified test results here. Actual filter life can depend on use and conditions; check the manual for care and replacement guidance.
How to interpret coverage and CADR
Coverage assumes one air change per hour
An air change per hour describes how often the unit’s rated airflow could replace the air in a room of the stated size. One change per hour is a slow rate for comparing air-cleaning performance. A coverage figure based on one air change per hour is not equivalent to a smaller room rating calculated at a higher rate. Compare room claims only when their air-change assumptions match.

- 3-Stage Filtration: Noticeably reduce the amount of dust and pet dander in your room with the HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of airborne dust down to 0.3 microns
- Clean Air Coverage: Purify 1,200 square feet, based on one air change per hour. Perfect for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and more
- Digital Display: You are in control - set the mode, fan speed (5 speeds), create a timer and more with the easy-to-use interface
CADR is another useful comparison point
CADR, or clean air delivery rate, expresses the volume of cleaned air delivered per minute. Kenmore’s catalog lists CADR values for all five current models, but one model has a conflicting figure elsewhere in Kenmore’s material: the 2025 catalog gives the PM2010 160 CFM, while its product page reports 260. The sources do not explain the discrepancy, so neither figure should be treated as independently confirmed.
Which model fits your priorities?
For a smaller space or an added diffuser
The 348e PM1010 is the smallest model in Kenmore’s current lineup by its stated one-air-change-per-hour coverage. It has three speeds and an aromatherapy diffuser; Kenmore reports 23 dB on low. Choose it only if its coverage basis and the room’s cleaning needs suit your situation.
Rank #2
- Powerful Odor Removal: On average, more than 90% of modern life is spent indoors, effectively remove odors in your home caused by dander, smoke, cooking and pollutants
- Silent Operation: The unnoticeably quiet air purifier cleans the air without distractions, so you can watch TV, sleep and go on with your day knowing your air quality is being improved
- 3-Stage Filtration: Noticeably reduce the amount of dust and pet dander in your room with a True HEPA filter capturing 99.97% of airborne dust down to 0.3 microns
- Clean Air Coverage: Purify up to 1,500 square feet, based on one air change per hour. Perfect for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and more
- Digital Display: You are in control - set the mode, fan speed (5 speeds), create a timer and more with the easy-to-use interface
For a mid-size option without listed sensing
The 850e PM1005 is rated for 850 sq. ft. at one air change per hour, with a catalog CADR of 110 CFM. Kenmore lists three speeds and 25 dB. Its published feature set is simpler than the sensing-equipped models.
For air-quality sensing
The 1200e PM2010 and 1500e PM3020 both have five speeds and air-quality sensing. Kenmore lists the PM2010 for 1,200 sq. ft. and the PM3020 for 1,500 sq. ft., each at one air change per hour. The conflicting PM2010 CADR figures make that model’s catalog comparison uncertain.

For app connectivity and the largest stated area
The SMART 2300e PM4030 is the lineup’s largest model by Kenmore’s one-air-change-per-hour coverage claim: 2,300 sq. ft. Kenmore’s catalog lists a 300 CFM CADR, while the feature list includes app connectivity, air-quality sensing, and five speeds. App control may be useful if remote operation matters; the coverage figure alone does not establish how quickly the unit will clean a room.
Check replacement filters before choosing
Kenmore lists different replacement-filter numbers for the current models. Confirm the model number on the purifier and check the manual or the appliance itself before ordering, especially if buying for an older unit.

Legacy product pages do not provide a consistent basis for ranking older models by room size. Kenmore describes the 83395 as a medium-room purifier for 280 sq. ft. The 83394 page calls that model small-room, but gives both 317 sq. ft. for AHAM-verified Smoke CADR coverage and 162 sq. ft. in its overview. The 83396 is identified as large-room while also using a 317-square-foot figure. These discrepancies do not support a clean size comparison.
