The controller returns to its home screen with the selected unit displayed. These instructions are specific to the BRC1H; other Daikin remotes may use a different procedure.
Change the BRC1H display to Fahrenheit
- From the controller’s normal screen, enter the user menu.
- Open the Fahrenheit/Celsius menu.
- Use the minus or plus control to select °F.
- Press the circle/confirm control to apply the selection.
- Check the home screen to confirm that the selected unit is displayed.
Daikin’s BRC1H operation manual says the temperature is displayed in the selected measurement and the controller returns to the home screen.
Check your remote model first
The steps above are documented for the BRC1H Stylish Remote Controller, not for every Daikin remote. Daikin’s BRC1H product information lists manuals for several variants and notes that product or feature availability can vary by region. Check the model number on your remote and use the matching manual if it is not a BRC1H; the BRC1H menu path is not established for handheld wireless remotes or other controllers.
What the setting changes
The Fahrenheit/Celsius option changes the temperature measurement shown on the controller. Daikin’s BRC1H documentation identifies a display indicator that varies with the selected unit; it does not establish that changing this option changes the system’s underlying setpoint or operation.

If the display is unclear or the remote does not respond
First make sure you are using the instructions for the exact remote model. If your remote uses replaceable batteries, Daikin’s residential troubleshooting guidance says low batteries can make the display unclear or affect operation and advises replacing both batteries with new alkaline batteries. Do not apply this advice to a remote without replaceable batteries.
