- Space: Look at the dimensions for the precise model and whether it can be stored upright. A multi-configuration appliance may take up more room than a simple press.

Choose a dedicated press for a focused sandwich setup
If sandwiches are the main job, compare the Breville BGR200XL and Hamilton Beach 25460MN around the details that affect everyday use: top-plate adjustment, storage, tray removal and the plate-cleaning instructions. The Breville listing specifies seven height settings and a removable drip tray, but fixed cooking plates. Hamilton Beach describes a floating top plate and upright storage for the 25460MN.

Choose a multipurpose model for more cooking arrangements
The Hamilton Beach 25334MN-MX adds an indoor-grill function and adjustable temperature options. The Cuisinart GR-4NNAS offers five grill, griddle and press configurations with reversible plates. These features make them more flexible in purpose, but manufacturer specifications do not show how either compares in sandwich results or how much counter space you will need; verify the exact unit’s dimensions and storage needs.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
Features such as an adjustable hinge, reversible plates or a temperature control help you match a machine to a use case. They are not independent evidence of sandwich quality, durability or evenness.
