That is different from a countdown display that merely shows how long ago coffee was brewed. Farberware’s FCP512S manual documents scheduled start, but current availability of that model—and a complete lineup of currently available scheduled-start percolators—has not been verified. So there is not enough confirmed current-market evidence to name a reliable “best” buy.
What counts as an electric percolator with a timer?
Look for explicit instructions to set a future brew time and activate the program. A feature described only as a “timer” may instead count elapsed time after brewing. For example, Cuisinart says the FCC-2’s countdown timer displays the time since brewing; that does not establish delayed start. Its official page also marks the model discontinued and out of stock: Cuisinart FCC-2 product page.
Terms such as “programmable,” “auto brew” and “timer” are not interchangeable. Check the product manual for the actual sequence: setting a future hour and minute, confirming the setting, and activating the program.
The scheduled-start example: Farberware FCP512S
The Farberware FCP512S manual identifies a 12-cup cordless programmable percolator and gives instructions for setting the hour and minute and activating the program. It states: “The Percolator will begin brewing at the time you set.” That is evidence of a genuine scheduled start, rather than an elapsed-time display. Farberware FCP512S manual.

What the manual says about brewing and shutoff
For this model, the manual estimates brewing at approximately one minute per cup. It says the coffee stays hot for two hours, then the percolator beeps three times and shuts off automatically. These are manufacturer instructions for the FCP512S, not guarantees for other models or results from an independent test.
Serving and handling
The manual recommends removing the basket, coffee lid and pump tube when brewing is complete for best flavor. It also warns that the appliance body and parts are hot, so handle them carefully.

How to choose one when a current model is available
Verify the details that determine whether the machine fits your routine, rather than relying on a headline or a generic “programmable” claim.
- Confirm delayed start in the manual. Find instructions for choosing a future time and activating the schedule. A countdown or elapsed-time display is not enough.
- Match capacity to the people you serve. Compare the stated cup capacity with your typical batch size; a small household and a group serving coffee on a schedule may have different needs.
- Check the controls you will actually use. Distinguish scheduled start from adjustable brew time, temperature or strength. Those settings affect different parts of the brewing process.
- Read the post-brew instructions. Confirm how long the coffee stays warm, whether the machine shuts off automatically, and what happens when the keep-warm period ends.
- Consider cleaning and serving. Check how the basket, pump tube and other removable parts are handled, and whether the design suits your counter and serving routine.
- Verify the sale and support details. Before ordering, check current stock, return terms, warranty and available manufacturer support for the exact model and seller.
If scheduled coffee matters more than percolation
BLACK+DECKER’s CM1110B is an adjacent option to investigate if a scheduled brew is the priority: its manufacturer describes it as a programmable 12-cup drip coffeemaker with 24-hour auto-brew. It is not a percolator, and the official page listed it sold out at the time of access. Confirm current stock and details with the manufacturer before relying on it: BLACK+DECKER CM1110B product page.

What is—and is not—established
The Farberware FCP512S manual confirms that at least one electric percolator model has offered a true scheduled start. The available official product information does not establish that it is currently available to buy, nor does it verify a complete current selection of scheduled-start electric percolators. Treat the FCP512S as a documented example, not a confirmed current recommendation. A “best” choice can only be made after verifying current stock, support and the timer function in the exact model’s manual.
