The Branch Verve is a full ergonomic task chair with a distinctive knit back, adjustable lumbar support and a strong design focus. Published reviewers have praised its looks and reported comfortable experiences, but its more limited armrest adjustment and individual fit make it a better match for buyers who prioritize appearance and a breathable back than those who need extensive customization. Check the current price, fit details and return terms before buying.
What is the Branch Verve Chair?
The Verve is an office task chair, not just a decorative chair or an accessory. Branch describes it as having a suspended, V-shaped back wrapped in 3D-knit polyester, with adjustable spine support. Its listed materials are 100% polyester 3D knit, high-density foam, powder-coated aluminum and glass-reinforced polyamide. Assembly is required, and Branch lists the Verve Headrest as compatible.
Branch’s published overall dimensions are 27 inches wide by 27 inches deep by 37–41 inches high, and its listed product weight is 40 pounds. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. See the Branch Verve Chair product page for current specifications and configuration options.
What do reviewers say about comfort and design?
Design is the clearest point of agreement in the published reviews: reviewers have found the Verve visually distinctive and suited to a design-conscious workspace. TechRadar’s Michelle Rae Uy, in a review published October 11, 2022, described it as “Both stylish and comfortable, attractive yet ergonomic,” and considered it suitable for work and gaming. That is a dated reviewer’s verdict, not a guarantee of comfort for every user.

Tom’s Guide’s review, last updated June 17, 2024, reports the reviewer’s hands-on experience with the knit back, foam seat, adjustable lumbar rest and padded arms. Gear Patrol’s Will Porter likewise praised the chair’s appearance and comfort in a review published June 30, 2022, and updated July 6, 2022. Those impressions are useful context, but chair comfort depends on body proportions, posture and personal preference.
The materials offer a specific feel: a foam seat rather than a mesh seat, paired with a knit back. If you prefer a mesh seat, need a broader range of adjustments, or want to compare how a chair feels in person, the Verve’s design and favorable reviewer impressions alone are not enough to establish a fit.

How adjustable is it, and who is it likely to suit?
Tom’s Guide reports a chair-height adjustment range of 16.4–20.5 inches. WIRED’s 2025 coverage says the Ergonomic Chair Pro offers more adjustment than the Verve; WIRED’s reviewer identified fixed arms and limited width suitability as concerns. TechRadar’s 2022 review also flagged fit for people over 6 feet 5 inches as a concern and noted the chair’s fabric seat could be vulnerable to cats. Treat these as reviewer observations rather than universal fit rules.
The Verve is most promising for someone who likes its design, wants a knit back and adjustable lumbar support, and does not require extensive armrest customization. Take extra care if you are unusually tall, need a wider fit, have precise desk-height or arm-position requirements, or share the chair with a pet that may scratch or snag upholstery.

Before ordering, compare your desk and body-fit needs with the chair’s listed dimensions and available adjustments. If you can try it, use that opportunity to check seat comfort, lumbar position and whether the arms work with your desk and preferred posture. If you cannot, review the seller’s return policy before purchase.
Is the Branch Verve worth buying?
It may be worth buying if design is a major priority and the chair’s fit and adjustment range suit you. Published reviews from TechRadar, Tom’s Guide, Gear Patrol and WIRED discuss its appearance favorably, and several report positive comfort impressions. The trade-off is that the Verve is not the most adjustable option in this comparison set, particularly around the arms, so buyers who need more precise positioning should compare alternatives such as Branch’s Ergonomic Chair Pro rather than assuming the Verve will meet those needs.
