New Atlas reports setting up and cooking with the grill; the specifications and performance claims below are attributed to the publication, manufacturer, or retailer that provided them.
What is the StoviGo, and how does it cook?
StoviGo is built around a top-heating far-infrared burner. In New Atlas’s description, gas heats an infrared panel above the food, so cooking heat comes down from the top rather than from a burner beneath a conventional grate. REVO, the maker, describes it as a foldable top-heating grill.
The enclosed cooking chamber gives it an oven-like format, while the lid also becomes a heated surface for a pan or griddle. That second surface may be useful for cooking a separate item or holding food warm, but the cited sources do not establish how evenly it heats across the lid.
Size, weight, and listed specifications
The figures differ slightly by source, so they are best treated as attributed specifications rather than a single independently verified set. New Atlas reported hands-on use in its April 23, 2025 review; CampingBar is a retailer listing, and REVO’s figures are manufacturer claims.

At the reported chamber dimensions, the grill is compact in cooking capacity as well as folded size. The weight figures, by contrast, make portability a vehicle-based advantage rather than a compelling reason to carry it on a long hike.
What can you cook on it?
The chamber is intended for cooking food in an enclosed space, while the top-heating setup is designed to cook from above. New Atlas reports five tray-height positions, giving some flexibility in placing food relative to the heat source. The heated lid adds a separate cooking surface for cookware.
REVO says the grill reduces smoke by over 90%. That is a manufacturer claim; the cited material does not establish it as an independent comparative test. New Atlas also relays the team’s estimate that a 16-ounce propane supply can cook almost 50 ten-ounce steaks. Treat that as the team’s estimate, not a guaranteed yield: actual consumption depends on operating conditions and cooking choices.

Fuel compatibility: check the exact regional version
Fuel information varies across campaign and retail materials. The Kickstarter creator FAQ, last updated April 2, 2025, says propane gas canisters are compatible. CampingBar specifies a propane camping canister and says fuel is not included. An older FoodChill campaign FAQ said a butane-canister adapter was still in development at that time; that is not confirmation of present compatibility.
Before buying a canister, check the current manual for the exact StoviGo version and region, including the approved fuel and connector. The cited pages do not establish one universal connection or current butane support.
Setup, cleanup, and safe use
CampingBar advises placing the grill on a stable, well-ventilated surface away from flammable objects, and waiting until it has fully cooled before dismantling or storing it. Follow the current model-specific manual for setup and operation.

New Atlas mentions possible indoor use, but the cited material does not include a primary manufacturer manual establishing indoor operation or a model-specific certification record. Do not treat the retailer’s CSA statement as independently confirmed or assume that indoor use is safe based on that statement alone.
REVO says the top-heating design keeps the interior clean and that only the grill plate and drip tray require cleaning. This is the manufacturer’s claim, not a guarantee that every cooking task will leave other parts clean.
What comes in the package?
CampingBar lists a grill plate, drip tray, probe thermometer, carry bag, and manual among the included items. It lists a grill-plate handle and an additional drip tray as optional purchases. Package contents can vary by seller or version, so confirm the exact listing before ordering.

Availability and buying considerations
REVO’s product page showed a price of TWD 15,900 and marked the grill sold out when reviewed. The Kickstarter FAQ’s US$599 projected retail price and October 2025 shipping estimate are historical campaign statements, not confirmation of current price, stock, or delivery. Check directly with the seller for present availability, shipping region, warranty, and package contents.
For a purchase decision, the most useful comparisons with other camp ovens or grills are packed weight and dimensions, chamber capacity, heat-control options, the approved local fuel connection, removable parts and included accessories, and current seller terms. StoviGo’s format combines an enclosed cooking chamber with a heated lid, but its weight and unresolved fuel-version details matter more than its folded dimensions alone.
