The porch adds an outdoor place to sit; it is not additional indoor floor area.
What is Teeny Tiny Haus?
It is a completed short-term rental, not just a proposed container-home plan. Backcountry Containers identifies the project as a vacation home made from one 20-foot container, while Last Stand TX is the lodging property where it is located. Backcountry Containers’ media highlights and New Atlas’s January 11, 2026 report describe the project.
That distinction matters: Backcountry Containers is the designer and builder associated with the structure; Last Stand TX is the accommodation property. The available reporting does not establish current unit-specific booking rates or availability.
How large is the container home?
New Atlas reports a standard container measuring 20 feet long by 8 feet wide, with approximately 130 square feet of interior area. Backcountry Containers confirms the single 20-foot-container description, but its media page does not give all of those measurements. The floor-area figure should therefore be read as an approximate figure reported by New Atlas, not a builder-published specification.

What fits inside?
Sleeping and lounging
New Atlas describes a double bed that can serve as a daybed. Its report says there is no separate sofa, so the bed is also the main lounging spot indoors.

The reported central kitchen and dining area includes a small refrigerator, microwave, and dining table. The available description does not establish a full-size range or a larger cooking setup.
Bathroom
The bathroom is separate from the open living area and is reported to include a walk-in shower, sink, and toilet.

Windows, doors, and climate control
New Atlas also reports multiple windows, double glass doors, a wall-mounted TV, and a mini-split air-conditioning unit. These are reported features; they have not been independently verified here.

A porch with seating and a table extends the stay outdoors. It offers a place to sit outside, but should not be counted as part of the reported indoor area.

The Airbnb page available for Last Stand TX describes the wider property as a group of accommodations, rather than establishing Teeny Tiny Haus’s current unit-specific terms.
