SereneLife SLPAC10 Review: Specs, Setup and What to Know

The SereneLife SLPAC10 offers cool, fan and dry modes, but its published airflow, noise and cable figures conflict. Here’s what its specs do—and don’t—tell you.

The SereneLife SLPAC10 is a single-hose portable air conditioner with fan and dehumidifier modes. SereneLife currently lists 10,000 BTU cooling power and coverage of 270+ square feet, but those are manufacturer claims—not independent test results. The key buying question is whether its exhaust hose and window plate will work in your room; the available information does not establish real-world cooling performance, energy cost or reliability.

What the SLPAC10 is—and what comes in the box

SereneLife describes the SLPAC10 as a portable AC with cool, fan and dry modes. Its current product page also lists automatic swing, a digital control panel, a washable filter and rolling wheels. The listed box contents are the AC unit, exhaust hose, window installation plate and remote control. Confirm the kit with the seller for your region before ordering, since included items can vary by listing.

It is an exhaust-hose appliance, not a windowless cooling unit: hot air must be routed outdoors through a suitable window opening. The included hose and plate are central to installation, not optional accessories. SereneLife’s current SLPAC10 product page lists the product features and contents.

Published specifications—and where they conflict

SereneLife’s current product page advertises 10,000 BTU cooling power, 1,150 W rated power and coverage of 270+ square feet. It also lists 290 m³/hour airflow, moisture removal of 1.5 L/hour, operating noise of 52–56 dBA, three fan speeds and a timer of up to 24 hours. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independently measured results.

#1 Best Overall
SereneLife Portable Air Conditioner, With Dual Motor, Dehumidifier & Fan | 8,000 BTU AC With Temperature Ranges 64°F–90°F | Fast Powerful Cooling | 3 Fan Speeds, Remote Control, & Window Exhaust Kit
  • HANDY AND PORTABLE: The SereneLife Portable Air Conditioner System features a lightweight, handy, sleek body design intended to be used in the bedroom, living room or garage at home or office. It features rolling wheels for easy portability
  • THREE OPERATING MODES: The compact floor AC indoor cooler conditioning unit features a simple electric plug in operation and introduces 3 modes - cooling, dehumidifier and fan. The default mode is cooling, it is automatically activated after power ON
  • BUILT-IN DEHUMIDIFIER: You don’t only get the cooling effect of the portable AC but also helps reduce humidity levels, which makes your home less hospitable to allergens such as dust mites, mold, mildew by selecting dehumidifier mode
  • REMOTE CONTROL: Features a digital touch button control panel which includes the power, mode, timer, temperature and fan speed settings. Other functions such as unit selector (°C/°F), sleep key can be adjusted using the included remote control
  • EIGHT THOUSAND BTU Cooling Power: With 900W rated power and 8000 BTU cooling power, the cold air can cover a room of up to 215 plus sq ft Air flow is rated at 290 m3/hr, moisture removal/dehumidifier at 1.2 liters/hr w/ an operating noise level of only 55-57 dBa
Specification Current SereneLife product page SLPAC10 user guide
Cooling power 10,000 BTU, manufacturer claim 10,000 BTU, manual specification
Rated power 1,150 W 1,150 W
Room coverage 270+ sq ft Not stated in the cited manual figures
Airflow 290 m³/hour 350 m³/hour
Noise 52–56 dBA 56 ± 3 dBA
Power cable 7 feet, listed elsewhere on the same product page 5 feet

The figures differ between SereneLife’s product page and its SLPAC10 user guide hosted by Pyle Audio. Treat airflow, noise and cable length as inconsistent published specifications rather than combining them into a single precise spec sheet. Check the current product label and manual for the exact unit being sold.

A separate retailer-style listing gives both 450+ and 270+ square feet in different passages, and pairs 6,000 BTU SACC with 10,000 BTU ASHRAE. Because its own coverage claims conflict, 450+ square feet is not established. The two BTU rating conventions are not interchangeable. SereneLife’s present advertised coverage is 270+ square feet, but no independent test or method establishes actual room coverage. The retailer-style listing should not be treated as proof of a larger suitable room size.

Will it fit your room and window?

Before buying, check the window opening, the path to the outdoors and the room conditions—not just the advertised floor-area figure. The manual calls for a level, dry surface and at least 50 cm of clearance from surrounding objects. It directs users to connect the exhaust duct at the rear and pass the hose through the adjustable window sealing plate fitted to the opening.

  • Confirm that the window can accept the supplied plate and that the opening can be sealed around it.
  • Plan a hose route that reaches the window without sharp bends or blocked airflow.
  • Leave the manual’s specified clearance around the unit and keep it on a level, dry surface.
  • Consider room layout and conditions; the manufacturer’s 270+ square-foot claim is not a guarantee of cooling in every room of that size.

The manual warns that sharp bends or restricted airflow in the exhaust duct affect operation. It also advises using manufacturer-provided accessories and not attempting repairs. A forum question about making a second hose adapter is not evidence that modifying this unit is safe or suitable.

Controls, operating modes and upkeep

The guide describes cool, fan and dehumidification modes. In cooling mode, the temperature can be adjusted from 16°C to 30°C (60°F to 86°F), and fan speed is selectable. The product page says the filter is removable and washable; follow the manual’s cleaning directions and do not assume other parts can be washed.

Unplug the unit before cleaning or maintenance. For seasonal storage, the manual’s sequence is to drain water, run fan mode for two hours to dry the interior, clean the filter, remove and store the exhaust duct, and keep the unit in a dry place.

How noisy is it, and what will it cost to run?

SereneLife lists 52–56 dBA on its current product page; the user guide gives 56 ± 3 dBA. These are published specifications, not a documented independent noise test, and the sources do not state measurement conditions. One user video description discusses noise and cold airflow, but a single anecdote cannot establish typical performance.

The listed 1,150 W is rated power, not a bill estimate. The available sources do not establish measured electricity use or operating cost. A cost calculation would require a current electricity rate and assumptions about run time and how the appliance cycles; the sources do not supply those inputs.

Who should consider the SLPAC10?

It may suit someone seeking a portable AC with fan and dry modes who can install a single exhaust hose through a compatible window. It is a less certain choice if the purchase depends on guaranteed cooling for a particular floor area, a precisely known noise level or predictable running costs: those outcomes are not established by the available product information. Compare other models using the same cooling-rating convention, installation requirements, noise measurement conditions, included kit and energy-use evidence.
