Peloton’s November 6, 2025 recall covers certain Original Series Bike+ exercise bikes, model PL02, with serial numbers beginning with “T.” The affected seat-post assembly can break during use, creating a fall and injury hazard. If your bike matches, stop using it and contact Peloton for a free replacement seat post.
Is my Peloton Bike+ recalled?
Check both the model and serial number: the November 2025 recall applies to Original Series Bike+ model PL02 with a serial number that begins with the letter “T.” The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says the serial number may be inside or behind the front fork, or behind the flywheel. The CPSC recall notice includes identification details and contact information.
The recalled bikes were sold in the United States from January 2020 through April 2025 through Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores, and online at OnePeloton, eBay, Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The CPSC says they were manufactured in Taiwan. In Canada, Health Canada identifies the same PL02 model and T-prefixed serial numbers; its notice says the products were sold from 2020 through April 2025 and manufactured in Taiwan.
What should I do if my Peloton seat post is recalled?
- Stop using the bike immediately if it is model PL02 and its serial number begins with T. The CPSC warns that the seat-post assembly can break during use, posing fall and injury hazards.
- Contact Peloton to request the free replacement seat post. The remedy is a repair part intended for self-installation. In the United States, the CPSC notice lists Peloton at 866-679-9129 and links to the company’s recall information.
- If you are in Canada, use Health Canada’s recall notice for the listed Canadian contact number and replacement route. Health Canada says recalled products cannot be redistributed, sold or given away in Canada.
Do not keep riding while waiting for the remedy, and do not substitute an aftermarket post: the official recall notices direct affected owners to obtain the free replacement from Peloton.

How many incidents have been reported?
For the 2025 U.S. recall, Peloton reported three instances of seat posts breaking and detaching, including two reports of fall injuries, according to the CPSC’s November 6, 2025 notice. Health Canada said that, as of November 6, 2025, it had received no reports of incidents in Canada. These are reported counts from the respective authorities, not independently verified failure rates.
Is this the same as Peloton’s 2023 recall?
No. The November 2025 action concerns the Bike+ model PL02 with a serial number beginning with T. The May 2023 recall involved the original Peloton Bike, model PL-01, and Peloton explicitly said that recall did not affect Bike+ members.

The 2023 model can be visually identified by a red “P” logo, white Peloton lettering and a display that does not swivel, according to Peloton’s 2023 recall guidance. Do not use those visual cues in place of checking the PL02 model and T-prefixed serial number for the current recall. The 2025 and 2023 incident figures refer to different recalls and should not be combined.

The CPSC estimates that about 833,000 affected units were sold in the United States. Health Canada estimates about 44,800 additional affected units were sold in Canada, alongside approximately 833,000 in the United States. These are regulator estimates of units, not counts of failures or injuries.
