Pinnacle SkyTower at Toronto’s Pinnacle One Yonge has reached its 106th and top floor, making it the tallest residential building in Canada by the current published building record. The Council on Vertical Urbanism’s Skyscraper Center lists the tower at 351.4 m (1,153 ft) and marks it structurally topped out—not completed or open.
What “topped out” means for SkyTower
Daily Commercial News reported on March 6, 2026, that construction had reached the top floor at 106 storeys. The report said a topping-off ceremony was still planned for later in the year. The Council on Vertical Urbanism’s current building record subsequently classifies the tower as structurally topped out. That milestone describes the building’s structural progress; it does not establish that construction, fit-out or commissioning is complete. Hariri Pontarini Architects continues to label the project “Under Construction.”
Height and ranking
The Skyscraper Center lists SkyTower at 351.4 m (1,153 ft), with 106 floors. It places the tower first in its Toronto building list; the next entry, One Bloor West, is listed at 308.6 m. The Council classifies SkyTower as a “Building” and gives its function as “Residential / Hotel.” Its tallest-building lists include buildings, not telecommunications or observation towers. Published height figures differ slightly: Daily Commercial News reported a planned final height of 351.85 m, citing a project release, while Hariri Pontarini Architects lists 352 m. Those figures are not evidence of a meaningful change in the tower’s physical height; the Council’s current standardized record is 351.4 m and remains subject to confirmation.
How the tower compares with the CN Tower
Daily Commercial News reported that SkyTower’s highest floor is in line with the CN Tower’s main observation level. This is a comparison of floor elevation, not a claim that SkyTower is taller than the CN Tower structure. The two are different kinds of structures, and the Council’s building ranking concerns buildings.

A residential tower with a hotel
SkyTower is a mixed-use project, not an exclusively residential building. Hariri Pontarini Architects describes more than 950 residential units and a 220-room Le Méridien hotel on the lower 12 floors. Daily Commercial News, citing a project release, reports the more exact figure of 958 residential units and 80,000 square feet of amenities. The residential-tallest description therefore refers to the building’s residential function within a residential-and-hotel project. The cited sources do not establish that the hotel is operating or that residents have moved in.

Design and project team
Hariri Pontarini Architects describes a 12-sided, tapered glazed tower with chamfered corners. The firm says the form responds to wind-induced loads as well as shaping the building’s appearance. On reaching the 106-storey mark, Pinnacle International vice-president of sales and marketing Anson Kwok said, “Now that we’ve reached the 106-storey mark, you can really feel the momentum accelerating,” as quoted by Daily Commercial News. This is a developer representative’s comment on the construction milestone, not an independent assessment of the project.
