If your OKP Life K2 will not charge, clean well, connect to Wi-Fi, or return to its dock, start with the simple checks: confirm power, inspect the charging contacts, and clear debris from the robot. The steps below cover common symptoms, safe cleaning, app pairing, and when a replacement part or OKP support may be needed.
Start with these basic checks
Before investigating a specific symptom, switch the K2 off and check that its power switch is on when you are ready to operate it. Look for visible debris around the wheels, brushes, intake, sensors, and charging contacts. If the robot has taken in liquid, do not run it; follow the drying steps below.
- Confirm the wall outlet works and the charging dock is receiving power.
- Check that the robot is seated so its charging contacts meet the dock pins.
- Empty the dustbin and reinstall it correctly.
- Remove hair and debris from the brushes and their slots.
- Check the intake, filter, and sensors for dust or blockage.
OKP’s FAQ and the K2 manual describe these checks for charging and cleaning problems. If the robot remains unresponsive after basic checks, note what it does when switched on or placed on the dock before contacting support.
If the K2 will not charge or return to its dock
Check power and contact alignment
Verify that the robot’s power switch is on, then confirm the outlet supplies power. Place the dock on a flat, open area and set the robot on it so the metal contacts on the robot meet the dock pins. Starting a cleaning run from the dock can also help establish whether it can leave and return under normal conditions.

Inspect the contacts and dock
Dust or oxidation on the charging contacts can interfere with charging. Clean accessible contacts carefully and check that the dock pins are not pushed down or damaged. OKP identifies pins that recede as a possible problem; contact support if a pin or dock appears damaged rather than trying to repair it yourself.
If cleaning is weak, the K2 is noisy, or a brush will not turn
Clear the airflow path and dustbin
Switch the robot off before working underneath it. Empty the dustbin, reinstall it, and check the suction intake for an obstruction. A full bin or blocked intake can reduce pickup even when the robot otherwise runs.
Remove brush tangles and clean components
Pull away hair and debris caught in the main brush, side brushes, and brush slots. Dust on sensors or other components can also interfere with normal cleaning. OKP’s FAQ says the main brush may be rinsed, but it must dry completely before it is reinstalled. Do not wash the HEPA filter; replace it when necessary. If unusual noise continues after clearing debris, stop using the robot and contact OKP support.

If the OKP app will not pair with the K2
The K2 manual specifies a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network for setup. Make sure your phone is using the network you intend to connect the robot to, then put the K2 into pairing mode using the instructions for your manual revision.
Copies of the indexed manual material differ on whether to hold the start/pause button for three or six seconds. Because the timing is not consistent across copies, do not assume one duration applies to every K2: check the instructions supplied with your unit. The manual PDF is available here.

If runtime has become shorter
OKP says reduced runtime can indicate that the battery is nearing the end of its service life. If cleaning no longer meets your needs after the robot and its components have been checked, a battery replacement may be appropriate.
OKP’s accessory catalog lists a lithium-ion battery for the K2, K3, and K5. Confirm the exact battery model and compatibility with your unit before buying; do not select a replacement solely because it is described as a K2 battery. The catalog also lists a 19V/0.6A adapter and a remote control, so check the electrical rating and model compatibility before replacing accessories.

Wipe the anti-drop sensors with a dry cloth and keep them clear of dust. Do not cover or block them. OKP explains that some dark or black flooring absorbs the sensors’ infrared signal and can be interpreted as a ledge; its FAQ says there is no adjustment that corrects this behavior.

If the K2 picked up liquid
Do not use the K2 to clean liquids. If it accidentally takes in liquid, switch it off immediately and remove the dustbin, filters, and main brush. Let the removed parts dry completely before reinstalling them. Do not run the robot to test it while it is wet; contact OKP support if operation remains abnormal after everything has dried.
If scheduling or the remote control is not working
Scheduled cleaning
OKP says scheduled cleaning will not run if the robot is switched off, has insufficient charge, or is in Do Not Disturb mode. Powering the robot off can erase scheduled tasks, so check that the schedule is still saved after turning it back on.
Remote control
For an unresponsive remote, check its batteries and confirm that the robot is powered on. Move within the FAQ’s stated maximum range of five meters and consider nearby interference. If it still does not work, check the remote’s model compatibility before replacing it.
