Racold’s October 2023 launch covered two distinct product families: Omnis storage water heaters and Altro instant water heaters. The reported lineup included one Wi-Fi and voice-controlled model, Omnis DG Wi-Fi, alongside models with different capacities, controls and safety features. The launch specifications and efficiency statements are historical company and media claims—not confirmation of current availability, certification or independently measured savings.
What was included in Racold’s 2023 launch?
Racold’s official news index lists launch coverage dated 3 and 5 October 2023 (Racold news index). The detailed announcement described the products as designed in Italy by designer Umberto Palermo. Its two ranges serve different purposes: Omnis is the storage range, while Altro is the instant range. The models’ capacities and features vary, so a feature reported for one variant should not be assumed to apply across its whole range.

The launch announcement also said the new Omnis range, together with Racold’s existing portfolio, delivered a 5-star BEE rating. That is a claim in Racold’s 2023 press release, not an independently verified current certification or a quantified estimate of household savings (Racold launch announcement carried by Business Standard).
Which Racold water heater has Wi-Fi or voice control?
Omnis DG Wi-Fi
The 2023 launch report identified Omnis DG Wi-Fi as the connected model. It listed 15- and 25-liter capacity options, Wi-Fi control through the Racold Net app, voice commands through Alexa or Google Assistant, notifications and energy-use monitoring. The report also described an AI-based ECO function as reducing energy consumption; it did not provide an independent measurement or savings percentage for that claim (Times of India launch report).

- 【Instant Hot Water, No Waiting】With the LFEVTZ 110V mini tankless water heater, enjoy hot water in seconds—no preheating required. Advanced heating technology delivers temperatures from 82°F (0.3 GPM) to 131°F (0.5 GPM), eliminating wait time at your sink.
- 【Compact & Space-Saving Design】Designed for small spaces like kitchens, RVs, and camping setups, this compact unit mounts on the wall to save space. Water temperature adjusts based on flow rate—lower flow = higher temperature, giving you flexible control for daily tasks like washing dishes, food, hands, and more.
- 【Safe & Intelligent Protection】Built with multiple safety features including IPX4 waterproofing, leakage protection, dry-burn protection, and auto shut-off. The LCD digital display provides real-time monitoring for safe and reliable operation.
- 【Easy Installation & Important Notes】Quick and simple to install with 1/2" NPT standard connections and pre-set mounting holes. Includes instructions and accessories. Tip: Requires 13AWG (2.5mm²) wiring and ≥32AMP breaker. Not suitable for showers (requires at least 1.8 GPM).
- 【Energy Efficient & Smart Control】Uses variable frequency technology to adjust power based on flow and temperature, achieving up to 99% efficiency. Lower flow reduces energy consumption, helping save electricity.

- Choose the heater type first. Omnis is the storage family; Altro is the instant family. Their listed capacities are not directly interchangeable measures of hot-water supply.
- Match capacity to intended use. Consider how many people and fixtures will use hot water, and whether demand is occasional or concurrent. The launch report lists capacities but does not establish a household-size recommendation.
- Decide whether connected controls matter. The reported Wi-Fi, app and voice-control features belong to Omnis DG Wi-Fi; they should not be assumed for other Omnis or Altro models.
- Check the exact variant’s features. Heating options, finishes and protections are model- or capacity-specific. Verify the complete model designation rather than relying on the range name alone.
- Confirm installation suitability. Have a qualified installer assess the location, plumbing, electrical supply and pressure conditions against the current product documentation. A launch report’s mention of high-pressure resistance does not establish suitability for every installation.
- Verify current product information. Check current specifications, certification and retailer availability directly before purchase. The 2023 coverage does not establish present-day prices, stock or catalog status.
What the launch coverage does—and does not—establish about efficiency
Racold’s press release described the range as energy efficient and included the 5-star BEE-rating statement. It also quoted Mohit Narula, Managing Director and Country Manager (India), Ariston Group India Pvt. Ltd., saying the range offered “excellent energy efficiency and improved convenience, apart from giving better control.” These are company statements from the launch, not independent assessments. The available launch reporting supplies no controlled comparison of operating costs, no independently sourced energy-saving percentage and no measured energy-savings result for the AI-based ECO functionality.
