New Atlas reported those features and a January 2026 Kickstarter price, but current stock and fulfillment are unverified as of October 8, 2026.
What tools are built into the Edrin?
New Atlas’s January 30, 2026 report describes the Edrin as a carabiner-format tool built around a Grade 5 titanium frame with a carbon fiber inlay. Its integrated features are:
- A folding D2 steel blade with a locking mechanism.
- A 4 mm bit socket, plus magnetic storage for one bit.
- A bottle opener and nail puller.
- A ceramic tip intended for emergency glass breaking.
- A carabiner clip and a separate D-ring for keys or other gear.
- Six slots for luminous vials; the report describes the vials as optional add-ons, not included standard equipment.
The blade is presented as the main cutting tool, with packages, fabric and wood mentioned as possible uses. Those are intended-use descriptions, not independently verified results for sharpness, edge retention, lock strength or safe performance. Read New Atlas’s product report.
Size, materials and bit compatibility
New Atlas lists the Edrin at 3.3 inches (83.5 mm) long and 0.53 inches (13.5 mm) thick, and identifies its frame as Grade 5 titanium with a carbon fiber inlay. These are published specifications, not independent measurements; the cited report does not establish a product weight.

Check that measurement against any replacement bit or accessory set before buying: a set being described as a multitool or screwdriver-bit set does not by itself establish compatibility. The report also mentions an optional pack of 20 bits, but does not establish that unrelated bit sets will fit or store in the Edrin.
