The former Mike Tyson and 50 Cent estate at 50 Poplar Hill Drive in Farmington, Connecticut, is listed for $9.9 million. The broker’s listing displayed that asking price on October 8, 2026; a Patch report published about three weeks earlier also said the mansion remained on the market. Real-estate listings can change, so check the broker’s listing for current status and price.

Where is the mansion, and what is for sale?

The property is at 50 Poplar Hill Drive in Farmington, a town in central Connecticut. LandVest Christie’s International Real Estate displayed the property at $9,900,000 when accessed October 8, 2026. Realtor.com reported the estate’s 2025 listing at the same $9.9 million asking price. Those are asking prices, not an appraisal or a record of what a buyer ultimately pays.

The latest local status report cited here, from Patch, said the home remained on the market at $9.9 million around September 2026. That report does not establish whether it is still available on a later date; check the broker’s live listing before relying on its status.

Who owned it, and when?

  1. Mike Tyson: 50 Cent bought the estate from Tyson in 2003 for a reported $4.1 million, according to a Hartford Courant report reproduced on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut website.
  2. 50 Cent: The rapper later owned the property. Realtor.com reported that Casey and Shera Askar bought it from him in 2019 for $2.9 million.
  3. Casey and Shera Askar: The Askars are the owners identified in the 2025 listing coverage. The current broker listing supplies the present asking price; the available reporting does not establish a later sale.

The reported purchase prices and current asking price describe different transactions at different times. They do not, on their own, show the home’s market value, a seller’s profit, or its appreciation.

How large is the property?

Published accounts describe the estate as roughly 51,000 square feet on 17.6 acres. The reported bedroom counts differ, so they should not be treated as settled:

Source Reported area and land Reported rooms
Realtor.com, 2025 About 51,000 square feet; 17.6 acres 19 bedrooms; seven kitchens
CT Insider, 2025 51,830 square feet; acreage not stated in that report 21 bedrooms, 40 bathrooms, and seven kitchens

The difference between 19 and 21 reported bedrooms is not reconciled by those accounts. The figures are published descriptions, not a substitute for verified plans or an independent measurement.

What features have been reported?

Coverage by Realtor.com and CT Insider describes an unusually extensive collection of entertainment and guest facilities, including a nightclub, casino room, cigar lounge, recording studio, guest and pool houses, and a helicopter pad. Realtor.com also reports multiple kitchens; it and CT Insider specify seven. These are reported property features, not a guarantee that every item is included in the current offering or remains in the same condition.

Realtor.com said 50 Cent had stated that he recorded his 2005 album The Massacre in the estate’s studio. That is an attributed account, not an independently verified recording history.

What is established about its market status?

The broker listing showed $9.9 million on October 8, 2026, and Patch reported the same asking price and an on-market status around September 2026. Neither source establishes a completed sale after those dates. A historical 2016 report described an agreement to sell the property for $8 million to a party proposing an assisted-living facility, but said no plan had been submitted to Farmington land-use boards at that time. It is historical context, not evidence of an approved conversion or completed transaction.
