The Miele Classic C1 Pure Suction PowerLine is best suited to homes with mostly hard floors and only light carpet needs. This review covers the graphite SBAN0 configuration: it includes a straight-suction AllTeQ floorhead, not a turbo or motorized brush. RTINGS’ testing found it handled fine dirt well on hard floors, but struggled with larger debris on carpet and embedded pet hair.
What the SBAN0 includes
Miele USA lists the graphite model as “Classic C1 Pure Suction PowerLine – SBAN0 Graphite grey,” material number 11181020. Its included AllTeQ combination floorhead (SBD 365-3) has no powered brushroll; the package also includes upholstery and crevice tools and a dusting brush. The vacuum uses a HyClean GN bag and an AirClean exhaust filter. Miele’s SBAN0 product listing identifies this package, which differs from other Classic C1 variants.
Miele’s product data sheet lists a 1,200 W maximum power rating and 1,000 W nominal power consumption. It specifies a 4.5 L bag capacity and a product weight of 5.19 kg. Miele USA lists an 18 ft cord and 29 ft operating radius. Its page gives the vacuum’s weight as 12 lb in technical data and advertises 13 lb “with vacuuming accessories,” so those figures describe different configurations rather than a single identical measurement. Miele’s product data sheet provides the wattage, bag capacity and metric weight.
How it performs on different floors
Hard floors
RTINGS reports that its tested SBAN0 picked up fine material well on hard floors. It also found that the closely spaced bristles on the included straight-suction head pushed around larger pieces such as cereal and rice instead of collecting them reliably. For homes where that kind of debris is common, RTINGS suggests considering the Parquet Twister head, which has less closely packed bristles. That is an optional accessory, not part of this package; confirm compatibility with the exact SBAN0 before buying. RTINGS’ review describes its test findings and the suggested alternative head.

Carpet and pet hair
The AllTeQ head is a straight-suction design, not a brush head driven by an air turbine or electric motor. RTINGS found the tested vacuum struggled with larger debris on high-pile carpet and was not well suited to that debris pattern on low-pile carpet. It also reported weak pickup of pet hair embedded in carpet. If your home has substantial carpet or carpet-embedded pet hair, compare a Classic C1 package that includes a turbo or motorized brushhead rather than assuming this Pure Suction model has one.
RTINGS reported good pet-hair pickup from upholstery when using the included upholstery tool. That result is distinct from its finding on embedded hair in carpet: the tool and surface matter.

How this C1 differs from other packages
“Classic C1” covers configurations with meaningfully different heads and filters. RTINGS’ comparison identifies these package differences:

These differences matter more than the shared C1 name if you are choosing for carpet or pet hair. A turbo brush is air-driven; the Cat & Dog configuration’s Electro Plus head is motorized. Do not treat either as included with the Pure Suction SBAN0. The comparison reflects the configurations described by RTINGS; package availability can vary.

Bags, maintenance and ownership
The SBAN0 takes Miele HyClean GN bags, and Miele lists its capacity as 4.5 L. RTINGS measured a smaller usable bag capacity in its review, so the manufacturer’s stated capacity should not be read as RTINGS’ measurement. Bags are a recurring ownership cost; check that replacements are specifically GN-compatible before ordering. The included exhaust filter is AirClean.
RTINGS described its tested unit as sturdy, though not as robust as the Complete C3 Alize, and said maintenance was easy. Those are observations about RTINGS’ test unit, not a guarantee about every unit or every household’s experience.

Price and buying advice
When Miele USA’s listing was accessed on October 8, 2026, it displayed a $399 sale price and a “20% Off in Cart” promotion. That is a dated listing snapshot, not a guaranteed current price or continuing offer. Check the live listing for price, promotion and availability before buying. The same product page lists the cord, operating radius and included accessories described above.
- Consider this SBAN0 if your floors are mostly hard, your carpet needs are modest, and fine-dirt pickup and bagged operation suit your priorities.
- Compare a turbo or motorized-head package if carpet is a major part of your home or you regularly need to remove embedded pet hair.
- Check accessory compatibility if you plan to add a Parquet Twister or another floorhead; confirm it fits the exact model before purchase.
RTINGS’ review changelog says it was updated March 19, 2026, including a test-bench update. Its findings are independent test observations, not universal guarantees of performance in every home.
