MVW4505MW won’t spin or is vibrating
An uneven load can reduce spin performance, increase vibration or noise, extend the cycle, and leave clothes wet. If the washer is still running and attempting to correct an imbalance, allow that attempt to finish. If it stops or signals an imbalance:
- Pause the washer as directed by its controls.
- Redistribute the clothes evenly and remove items if the load is too large.
- Close the lid and restart or resume the cycle as the controls and model manual direct.
If vibration or an imbalance indication keeps returning with a reasonably sized, evenly spread load, stop repeating the cycle and consult Maytag support.

Washer will not fill or shows a slow-fill code
For LF, Lo FL, or F8 E1, Maytag’s general top-load list points to slow filling. Confirm that the household water supply is available and use the MVW4505MW manual to check the correct inlet-supply steps. If the code persists after those checks, arrange model-specific support; the generic code description does not establish which component, if any, has failed.
Resetting the washer control
If you have recorded any displayed code and completed the relevant basic checks, Maytag’s general top-load guidance says to disconnect the washer from power for five minutes, then reconnect it to reset the control.
