CAP FM-CS713: recommended limit versus test figure
CAP Barbell lists a 500 lb recommended maximum for the FM-CS713. It also says the bench was tested based on ASTM standards to hold 1,250 lb. CAP does not identify a specific ASTM standard number or an independent testing laboratory in the product listing. The 1,250 lb figure describes a test claim; it does not replace CAP’s 500 lb recommended maximum for use.

Frame, pad, and what the listings establish
Marcy describes the SB-10510 as having 2 x 4 inch, 14-gauge tubing and a 2.5-inch high-density pad. CAP describes the FM-CS713 as using 2 mm, 3 x 1.5 inch steel tubing with a boxed, double-stitched pad. The Marcy is the clearer match if you want a published capacity expressed as separate user and lifted-weight amounts, and your combined use stays within the listing’s 300 lb user plus 300 lb lifted maximum. Its listed height is 16.5 inches, and MarcyPro states a 2-year limited warranty subject to the applicable terms.

Choose the CAP FM-CS713 if its recommended limit and build description suit you
The CAP may suit buyers whose intended load is within its 500 lb recommended maximum and who prefer its stated 17-inch height or pad description. Treat CAP’s 1,250 lb ASTM-based test figure as a test claim, not as permission to exceed the recommended limit.

- Confirm the model number: SB-10510 or FM-CS713.
- Check your intended user and lifted load against that model’s own capacity wording.
- Verify assembled dimensions, current delivered price, shipping coverage, and the seller’s return terms.
