The LiberNovo Omni is an ergonomic office chair built around an articulated backrest that flexes as you change position. That is what “dynamic” describes—not a proven health benefit, and not evidence that the chair is the world’s first of its kind. Before comparing prices or features, identify the exact model: Omni SE, original Omni, Omni Gen, and Omni Pro differ in controls and specifications.
What makes the LiberNovo Omni “dynamic”?
The chair’s backrest is designed to move with the sitter rather than remain a single rigid surface. Tom’s Guide describes the lineup’s Bionic FlexFit Backrest as eight flexible panels, 16 pivot points, and 14 dual-connection points. Those figures describe the design; they do not establish that the chair prevents or treats pain or any other medical condition. Tom’s Guide’s model comparison covers the SE, Omni, and Pro.
The original Omni adds motorized back support controlled through armrest buttons and has four recline positions, according to WIRED’s review. The Omni and Omni Pro also have powered lumbar adjustment and a button-activated five-minute stretch cycle. These powered functions are not the same as the backrest’s passive movement.
Which LiberNovo chair are you comparing?
The names are not interchangeable. The current official product page is titled “LiberNovo Omni Gen Dynamic Ergonomic Office Chair,” while the manual identifies its model as Omni. Confirm the model name on the product page and the documentation for the version and region you are considering. LiberNovo’s official product page is the current naming reference.

| Model | Distinguishing details established in the cited sources | Price reference |
|---|---|---|
| Omni SE | Tom’s Guide compares it as a separate model in the lineup. The cited materials do not establish all of its individual specifications. | $899 in Tom’s Guide’s August 13, 2026 review; a dated review price, not a guaranteed current price. |
| Original Omni | Motorized back support via armrest buttons; four recline positions per WIRED. Seat depth is selected as 45 or 48 cm rather than adjusted with a sliding seat pan. | $1,099 in Tom’s Guide’s August 13, 2026 review; a dated review price, not a guaranteed current price. |
| Omni Gen | The current official product-page name. Do not assume every specification of the original Omni or Omni Pro applies to this generation. | Not stated in the cited sources. |
| Omni Pro | Tom’s Hardware reports powered lumbar controls, a stretch function, an under-seat ventilation fan, and five recline stops: 105°, 115°, 125°, 135°, and 160°. | $1,299 in Tom’s Guide’s August 13, 2026 review. Tom’s Hardware listed $1,299 retail and $1,109 at its September 10, 2026 review; these are dated, volatile prices. |
The feature and price comparisons above come from Tom’s Guide’s August 2026 comparison and Tom’s Hardware’s September 2026 Omni Pro review. In particular, do not attribute the Pro’s fan or five recline stops to the original Omni. Check the seller’s current listing before purchase; Tom’s Hardware’s cited Amazon link concerns the Pro, not a verified listing for the original Omni or Omni Gen.
Check fit before you buy
For the original Omni, seat depth is a fixed choice of 45 cm or 48 cm rather than a sliding adjustment, according to WIRED. WIRED also describes one reviewer’s difficulty fitting the longer version at 6 feet 4 inches. That is an individual experience, not a universal height limit.

- Dynamic Support & Screen Alignment: Headrest, backrest, and armrests move in sync with differential tilt to keep your body supported and your gaze perfectly aligned.
- Gentle Spine Stretching: Recline and relax as the built-in spinal stretch helps release tension and restore comfort.
- 105°-160° Multi-Angle Recline (5 Positions): Five reclining positions designed for work, gaming, and deep relaxation—on your terms. Pair with the LiberNovo StepSync Footrest to support healthy posture, provide ergonomic leg support that helps reduce pressure on your thighs, and maximize reclining comfort.

- Compare seat depth with your thigh length and check that the seat edge does not press behind your knees.
- Check whether your feet rest comfortably on the floor and whether the armrests can be positioned for your desk and working posture.
- Confirm desk height and clearance, especially if you plan to use a separate footrest. LiberNovo lists a StepSync Footrest among its products, but a footrest is an optional setup choice, not a required chair accessory. See the official site’s product and accessory navigation.
- Read the return or tryout terms that apply in your country before ordering; they may depend on seller and region.
Verify specifications, weight guidance, and warranty by model
Published load figures differ by source and model context, so do not treat them as universal across the Omni family. Tom’s Hardware lists a 300 lb / 136 kg maximum recommended weight for the Omni Pro. The LiberNovo Omni manual lists a 110 kg maximum load capacity and cites ANSI BIFMA X5.1 and EN1335-2 (Type C) standards for the model covered by that manual. Check the documentation supplied for the exact chair you are buying.
Tom’s Hardware lists a six-year frame warranty and two-year electronics warranty for the Omni Pro. Those terms should not be assumed for another model, region, or purchase date; confirm the current warranty directly with the seller or manufacturer. Powered controls, battery, and fan add functionality but also mean there are electronic components whose warranty coverage and service arrangements matter.

Is the dynamic chair claim a reason to buy?
“World’s first” appears in the title’s marketing language, but the available sources do not independently establish a historical first. Likewise, the articulated backrest and powered stretch feature are product functions, not clinical evidence of pain relief, injury prevention, or improved productivity. WIRED cautions that OmniStretch is not a substitute for getting up and moving periodically.
For a construction office or other desk-based work, the practical decision is whether the exact model fits your body and setup, and whether its adjustment and electronic features are worth the price and ownership trade-offs. Compare model-specific recline, lumbar controls, ventilation, seat depth, warranty, and return terms rather than relying on the Omni name alone.
