How to loosen a stuck SnapTight lid

Wet a dishcloth or towel with hot water and carefully wrap it around the cap.

Leave it in place for 5–10 minutes, as McCormick recommends.

Remove the cloth and twist the cap off.
McCormick says some caps become stuck when adhesive from the bottle’s safety seal melts onto the threads during cap application. The warm, wet cloth is the company’s suggested remedy. See McCormick’s FAQ.

Why some caps stick—and what McCormick changed
McCormick says it adjusted its manufacturing process to address the issue. Its FAQ does not establish whether any particular bottle on store shelves has the updated packaging, so a specific bottle may still have a stuck cap.
