If your adjustable bed remote is not working, start with the simple checks: replace or reseat its batteries, make sure the remote is not locked, and confirm the bed base has power. If those checks do not help, use the manual for your exact bed and remote to reset or pair them. Button combinations and reset times vary by model, so avoid trying a sequence from another brand.
1. Check the remote’s batteries and indicator
Press a button and see whether the remote’s indicator or backlight comes on. If it stays dark, check the battery type listed on the remote or in its manual, install fresh batteries with the polarity matched to the markings, and try again.
If the manual for your remote recommends it, remove the batteries briefly and reinstall them. The NFM owner manual cited below advises removing them for 30 seconds and checking the battery contacts. Treat that as model-specific guidance: consult your own manual before handling contacts.
2. Check whether the remote is locked
Some remotes have a lock feature that prevents button presses from moving the bed. Look for a lock button or a lock indicator, then follow the unlock instructions for your model. For applicable Customatic remotes, the company says to hold the lock button for four seconds until the backlight flashes. That sequence is not universal; use it only if your remote’s instructions identify the same procedure.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors#1 Best Overall
- Note: If the remote control does not work, please check the following: 1) Ensure the batteries are installed correctly and do not need replacement. 2) Ensure the remote's child lock is not activated (different models have different methods to deactivate it). 3) Disconnect the device from power for one minute, then reconnect it before attempting operation.
- If pairing fails, please try another pairing method. It is not a universal adjustable bed remote. Please confirm your model number before placing your order

- Pair Method 1: 1)Locate the battery backup box and press the button TWICE. A light on the battery back up box will illuminate. 2)Remove the back cover of the remote, press and hold down the PAlR button. The PAlR button will illuminate blue and start flashing When the PAlR button stops flashing, the illuminated light on the battery backup box will go out. Release the PAlR button. The remote is now paired to the adjustable base
- Pair Method 2: 1)Remove the rear cover of the remote control by sliding it down to expose the PAlR button. Unplug the Power Cord from your power outlet. Wait 1 minute, then plug it back. Perform Step 2 within 10 seconds, while the control box light is flashing. 2)Press and hold the PAlR button on the back of the remote. The PAlR button will illuminate and start to flash. When the PAlR button stops flashing, the LED light on the control box will stop flashing. Release the PAlR button
3. Confirm the base is receiving power
A remote can light up even when the bed does not respond. Check that the bed’s power cord is firmly connected to a working outlet. If necessary, test the outlet with another working appliance. Then inspect accessible connections between the power supply and control box, and check any power indicator described in your bed manual.
If the manual directs you to reset the base by unplugging it, use its stated wait time. The cited NFM manual says 30 seconds; Tempur-Pedic specifies 60 seconds for the Ease and TEMPUR-Ergo products covered by its instructions. These times differ, so follow the instructions for your actual base rather than treating either interval as standard.

- The remote used 2 AAA batteries, which need to be purchased separately
4. Re-pair the remote if the base has power
If the remote lights up and the base has power but does not respond, the remote may need to be paired with the base. This can be worth checking if the problem began after a power interruption, battery change, move, or reset.
Pairing is model-specific. The Reverie manual describes a procedure involving a button on the control box followed by a remote button; Customatic directs owners to the pairing instructions for their exact model. Find the correct manual using the bed or base model number and follow its sequence exactly. Do not assume that a button combination from another bed will work.

5. Decide when to contact the manufacturer
If the outlet works but the power-supply indicator remains off, or the control box shows no response, the problem may be in the power supply or control box rather than the remote. Customatic identifies the remote, power supply, and control box as possible areas to check.
Before contacting the manufacturer or retailer, gather:

- This is an authentic manufacture remote for the Leggett 100 or t-120 series adjustable bed base.
- Leggett has a few different models that they have made over the years and if your remote does not match up exactly with the ones pictured this will not work
- The bed or adjustable-base model number.
- The remote model number, if shown, or a clear photo of the remote.
- Whether the remote lights up and whether the base’s power indicator is on.
- What you have already checked, including batteries, outlet, reset, or pairing, and whether the issue followed a power loss or move.
Ask the manufacturer or retailer to confirm warranty coverage and the correct troubleshooting steps or replacement part. A replacement remote must match the base and control system; do not buy a universal remote or assume a remote that looks similar is compatible.
