To claim a warranty on a Toshiba washing machine, gather the warranty paperwork and proof of purchase, then contact the Toshiba support provider or licensee for the country where you bought it. Warranty terms and service routes vary by country, so confirm eligibility, required documents, and repair or transport arrangements with that local provider before moving the washer or arranging a repair.
1. Find the warranty documents and proof of purchase
Start with the documents supplied with the washer. Look for the warranty card or guarantee certificate, the manual, your original receipt or invoice, and any e-warranty or registration confirmation. Toshiba EMEA says support and warranty responsibility rests with the licensee for the specific Toshiba-branded product, and recommends checking the purchase documentation for accurate instructions: Toshiba EMEA consumer appliance support.
If paperwork is missing, search the Toshiba Lifestyle or support site for the country where the washer was purchased using its exact model number. You can also ask the seller or local support provider what alternate proof they accept; there is no single substitute-document rule established for every country.
2. Contact the provider for the country of purchase
Use the contact details in the local warranty material or the official support page for the country where you bought the machine. Do not assume a contact route or warranty period published for another country applies to your washer. Toshiba EMEA states: “Each licensee is responsible for the support and warranty of their specific Toshiba-branded products.”

These routes are limited to the region described on the Toshiba EMEA appliance support page.
- Singapore: Toshiba Singapore offers washer support, service requests, and product registration. Its page lists hotline 6655 0088 and email [email protected]; check the Singapore support page for current contact details.
3. Prepare the information for your claim
Have these details ready when you call or submit a service request:
- The washer’s exact model and serial number, usually on its rating label.
- The purchase date and seller, plus the original receipt or invoice.
- The warranty card or guarantee certificate and any registration or e-warranty confirmation.
- A concise description of the fault, when it began, and any displayed error code.
Ask whether the local provider wants photographs, a particular form, or additional documents. Requirements differ: for example, Malaysia’s policy calls for the original receipt and warranty card, plus an e-warranty statement where applicable; Hong Kong and Macau terms call for the original guarantee certificate and invoice.

4. Confirm coverage and service arrangements before proceeding
Ask the support provider to confirm whether the fault and the relevant part are covered under the warranty issued for your washer. Also clarify whether inspection is required, whether labor or transport may be charged, and whether the machine should stay installed or be delivered to an authorized service point. Avoid attempting or authorizing a repair before checking the local terms: Malaysia’s policy, for example, lists unauthorized repair among its exclusions.
If practical, keep the provider’s instructions in writing. Record the case or reference number and save messages, service instructions, and any receipts related to the claim.

5. Follow the local service route
Follow the instructions from the provider responsible for the purchase country, and keep the washer and its documents available until you know whether a technician visit or delivery is required. The logistics can be materially different across regions:
- Malaysia: The cited policy says the complete washer must be delivered to an authorized dealer or the nearest TSS service centre for the described standard repair, and excludes transport charges. It applies only to products purchased and used in Malaysia.
- Hong Kong and Macau: The guarantee document says the original certificate and invoice must be presented to the technician and limits validity to Hong Kong and Macau. The document is dated January 2019 by its filename, so confirm current terms with the local provider.
Why the warranty period may differ
There is no single warranty period that can safely be applied to every Toshiba washing machine. Terms depend on the purchase location, product, component, and sometimes purchase date or registration. The regional examples below are not a substitute for the warranty issued with your machine.
