Haier-associated Leader’s XQGL125-MBLDE697WU1 is a China-market washing machine built with three drums so different laundry categories can be washed separately—and, according to Haier, simultaneously. That makes a mixed load of socks, shorts and coats possible in principle, but it does not override garment care labels or mean every combination belongs in one cycle.
How the three-drum design works
The washer has one main drum and two smaller drums. Haier says each drum has a separate water path and that all three can operate at the same time. The layout is intended to let users separate items such as underwear and socks instead of combining them with other laundry in a single drum.
Gizmochina reported that each small drum is 216 mm in diameter and can hold up to 1 kg. It did not give the main drum’s capacity. The official listing states 12.5 kg for the washer overall, but that figure should not be treated as a capacity for any one drum or divided into estimated drum capacities.
Can it wash socks, shorts and coats together?
It can wash different categories concurrently by placing them in separate drums, subject to the machine’s programmes and each garment’s care label. Haier’s account says early users wanted dedicated washing for underwear and socks; Gizmochina describes the smaller drums as suitable for socks, shorts and other small items. A coat would need to fit the main drum and be appropriate for its selected cycle.

Launch context and availability
Haier says the first batch of Leader washer users received their machines in Shanghai on April 11, 2025. The company also reported more than 88,000 reservations before launch; that figure is company-reported, and the cited account does not explain its counting method. Haier’s framing of the design as a response to young consumers’ preference for convenient, considered living is promotional rather than an independent evaluation.
