Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

It can help keep supplies organized alongside food and drinks, but its survival-gear use is an organization concept—not proof that the cooler provides emergency protection or replaces tested emergency equipment.
How the GOAT modular system works
The HUB is the cooler. GOAT’s design partner describes it as a rotomolded unit that accepts insertable storage CANs; a separate RACK holds extra CANs. The arrangement keeps dry supplies in removable modules rather than mixing them loosely with chilled contents. Daedalus Experience’s system description says the design was intended for outdoor use and emergency preparedness.
HUB: chilled food and drinks
The cooler collection currently lists the rolling HUB 40 GO, HUB 50 and HUB 70. GOAT says the HUB 50 and HUB 70 include four built-in dry-storage CANs, offer multi-day ice retention and are bear-resistant certified. The current catalog listing does not specify an ice-retention duration or identify the certification standard, so these are manufacturer claims rather than a quantified performance comparison. CANs and RACK: separate storage for dry supplies
CANs can be assigned to different categories so gear is easier to locate—for example, utensils and condiments in one, or tools and shelter supplies in another. The RACK provides a place to keep additional CANs. New Atlas described these kinds of uses in 2020, including water-filtration and purification supplies; that article also discussed pre-stocked kits and empty CANs. Those examples are historical and do not establish that the same kits are available now. New Atlas’s 2020 report

What the published HUB 70 figures do—and do not—show
Older launch-era coverage provides a snapshot of the HUB 70, not a current independently verified specification sheet:
| Figure | What the source reported | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity: 59 liters (62.29 qt) | New Atlas and a 2020 launch release reported this for the HUB 70. | Historical published specification; not a newly verified measurement. |
| Weight: 42.2 lb | New Atlas and the 2020 launch release reported this for the HUB 70. | Historical published specification; it is not a loaded weight. |
| Ice retention: estimated 8–10 days | New Atlas reported this estimate in 2020. | A dated estimate, not an independent test or current guarantee. GOAT’s current listing says “multi-day ice” without stating a duration. |

Planning a kit around the modules
The practical benefit is separation and access: organize supplies by task, then keep the modules with the cooler. For an outdoor outing, that might mean dedicating CANs to cooking accessories, water-treatment items, or repair and shelter gear. Choose contents for the conditions and the needs of the people using them; the available product information does not establish that a CAN is protective emergency equipment.
- Decide what supplies must stay dry and separate them from food and drinks.
- Group related items into distinct CANs and label them so someone else can find them quickly.
- Check the contents periodically, especially consumables or equipment with expiration dates.
- For emergency planning, use appropriate tested equipment and maintain supplies independently of the cooler.
Availability and historical launch prices
GOAT’s current cooler collection confirms the three listed HUB models, but the cited sources do not establish current prices. SNEWS reported the following launch-era U.S. MSRPs in 2020; they should not be treated as today’s prices:
