RTINGS’ independent review, retested in 2024, found excellent bare-floor pickup and good maneuverability, but weaker results on high-pile carpet, a short cord and a limited tool set. Check the model suffix and market before buying: Eureka’s US and UK pages list different specifications.
What is the Eureka WhirlWind NEN110A?
It is a bagless canister vacuum identified as the WhirlWind NEN110A on Eureka’s US product page and in RTINGS’ review. Eureka describes it as suitable for carpet, upholstery and hard floors, with washable filters, suction adjustment, automatic cord rewind and an integrated 2-in-1 crevice and dusting tool. Eureka’s US page says, “The whirlwind has a Bagless design and uses washable filters.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent test finding.
Confirm the full model number on the product listing and unit. Other NEN110 suffixes exist, and a manual for the NEN110 series does not establish that every regional version shares the same parts or specifications.
How well does it clean?
RTINGS published its review on August 12, 2020 and retested the vacuum on August 26, 2024. Its findings describe strong performance on bare floors and good overall maneuverability, but less effective pickup of small and large debris on high-pile carpet. The review also notes a limited selection of tools. These are RTINGS’ results, not hands-on testing for this article.

That mix makes the WhirlWind a more convincing choice for hard floors and everyday movement around a room than for homes whose main challenge is deep, high-pile carpet. If you need a particular upholstery, pet-hair or above-floor attachment, verify that it is included with the exact listing rather than assuming the integrated tool covers that need.
Is it easy to maneuver around furniture?
Eureka answers “yes” to this question in its product FAQ, but that is promotional copy. RTINGS independently describes the vacuum as maneuverable. The practical trade-off is reach: RTINGS calls the cord short and says outlet changes may be needed in some spaces. Eureka’s US page lists a 16-foot cord, but room shape, furniture and outlet placement determine how often that becomes inconvenient.

Before choosing it, consider the area you clean between outlets and whether you are comfortable moving the plug during a session. Automatic cord rewind helps with storage, but it does not extend cleaning reach.
Which specifications apply to the US and UK versions?
Eureka’s regional pages do not provide a single consistent specification set. Treat the following as figures published on each market’s page, not interchangeable specifications for every NEN110A.

Sources: Eureka US product page and Eureka UK product page (current pages accessed in 2026). The US page contains inconsistent power figures, so its wattage should not be reduced to one unqualified number. The UK page also lists HEPA in its filtration field, while RTINGS says the reviewed vacuum has no HEPA filter; the available evidence does not resolve whether that reflects a regional or variant difference. Do not rely on a general NEN110A label to establish HEPA filtration.
What maintenance and replacement filters does it need?
RTINGS says to empty the dirt compartment at its max line and wash the pre-motor and post-motor filters with water only. Its guidance is to clean them about monthly, depending on use, then air-dry them for 24 hours before reinstalling. Never put wet filters back into the vacuum.

RTINGS lists filter part numbers NEN0101 and NEN0106 and says the reviewed model has no HEPA filter. Confirm compatibility with the complete model number and market before ordering replacement filters; the part numbers alone do not prove they fit every NEN110-series variant. - Consider it if your floors are mostly hard, you value a maneuverable canister, and washing filters is acceptable maintenance.
- Think carefully if your rooms are large or outlets are far apart; the independent review reports a short cord, and the US page lists 16 feet.
- Look for another fit if high-pile carpet is a major cleaning task, you need a broad set of included tools, or HEPA filtration is essential. RTINGS found weaker high-pile carpet pickup and says the reviewed unit has no HEPA filter.
- Verify before purchase if dust capacity, weight, wattage, warranty or replacement-part compatibility will determine your choice, because regional listings differ and the US power fields conflict.
Verdict
The WhirlWind NEN110A is a plausible compact canister for hard-floor cleaning, with useful maneuverability and washable filters. Its weaker high-pile carpet results, limited tools and short reach are meaningful compromises. Check the precise market and suffix, confirm any filtration requirement, and make sure the cord and included attachments suit your rooms before purchasing.
