How to read the coating, safety and durability claims
PEEK and chemical claims
Emura says the coating is PEEK and advertises it as free of PFOA, cadmium and lead. These are claims on the seller’s page; the sources reviewed do not include independent material verification or safety test results for this pan. That is not proof that the claims are false, but it means they should not be treated as independently established.
The “9x” durability figure
Emura advertises a “9x” durability comparison. The reviewed product page does not identify a testing body, comparison product or test method behind that number. Without those details, the figure cannot tell buyers how long the coating will last in ordinary use or how it compares with another pan.

What customer reviews do—and don’t—tell you
