Hyperthermia and hot-water safety
An older 2007–2008 Dynasty operator guide hosted by The Spa Works describes hyperthermia as a serious risk of hot-water immersion. It lists increased internal body temperature, dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness and fainting as symptoms. The guide warns that a person may fail to recognize the need to leave the water or remain aware of hazards, may be physically unable to exit, and may become unconscious, creating a risk of drowning. It also warns of potential fetal injury in pregnant women.
That older guide advises people with certain health conditions or medication use to consult a physician, and cautions that alcohol and some medications can affect the body’s response to hot-water immersion. These are warnings from the 2007–2008 edition, not confirmation of current Ecco-specific instructions or a substitute for medical advice. - Identify the spa’s model, region, supply voltage and control pack before selecting a wiring diagram.
- Use the diagram for the exact equipment pack and the instructions in the matching current manual; comply with local electrical code.
- Have a qualified electrician perform or verify electrical connections. Do not move wires or choose a breaker based on a generic manual reproduction.
The older Dynasty guide hosted by The Spa Works states: “Prior to performing any service to the Spa Pack, turn off ALL power to the system at the main power source breaker.” Treat this as an instruction from an older guide, and consult the correct manual and equipment-pack instructions before service.
