ONE+, ONE Touch, and ONE Lite instructions are not interchangeable, and Daikin separates documentation for unitary, single- and multi-zone, and VRV systems. For a ONE+ Wi-Fi issue, check its Wi-Fi settings; for equipment discovery or an error code, use the guide and code table for the exact thermostat and system. Leave wiring and persistent equipment faults to a qualified HVAC professional.
Identify the thermostat and HVAC system first
Check the thermostat model and determine whether it controls a unitary system, a single- or multi-zone system, a mini-split, or VRV equipment. Daikin publishes separate homeowner guides, wiring information, and error-code documents for its thermostat and equipment families, so a code or wiring instruction should be applied only to the matching configuration. Start at Daikin’s ONE resource center and select the documents for your model and system.

Fix a ONE+ Wi-Fi setup problem

- Open Menu, then choose Settings and Wi-Fi.
- Make sure Use Wi-Fi is enabled.
- Scan for available networks, select the home network, and enter its password.
- Connect each ONE+ thermostat individually; setting up one does not connect the others.
If the thermostat still will not connect, consult the current guide for that model or contact Daikin support. Do not assume another ONE generation uses the same menu or procedure.
When the thermostat cannot find connected equipment
For a ONE+ discovery problem, Daikin identifies loose wiring at the thermostat mounting plate as one possible cause. That does not establish that wiring is the cause in a particular home. Have an installer inspect the wiring using the matching model’s instructions rather than opening or changing connections based on a code or a general online guide.

What Daikin unitary error codes 1E and 1F mean
In Daikin’s unitary-system error-code table, 1E and 1F indicate loss of communication with the heat pump or air conditioner. The table lists possible causes including reversed Data1/Data2 polarity, lost power, and loose, cut, shorted, or broken wiring. Its suggested checks include polarity, fuses or breakers, and connections, followed by contacting support. These codes and checks are specific to the documented unitary configuration; do not apply them to a different ONE thermostat or HVAC family. See Daikin’s error-code documents for the matching system.
Electrical and equipment communication faults are appropriate for an HVAC technician to diagnose. An error code identifies a fault category, not necessarily the failed part or the repair required.

Respond to repeated or internal errors
Daikin’s code table includes thermostat sensor, Wi-Fi, and internal communication faults. Some entries recommend a warm start or support contact, and selected critical faults may lead to a replacement recommendation. Follow the specific entry for the exact model and seek support before replacing a thermostat based only on an isolated code.
When to call Daikin or an HVAC professional
Daikin lists 1-855-DAIKIN1 for general ONE+ support, troubleshooting, and error codes. Its FAQ recommends having the dealer or installer on site for troubleshooting calls. Contact a qualified technician for wiring or system communication issues, and escalate persistent or recurring hardware faults through Daikin or the installing dealer.

When a remote room sensor may help
If the issue is room temperature or humidity sensing rather than Wi-Fi, equipment discovery, or system operation, the Daikin ONE Wireless RHT Sensor is a compatible accessory for ONE+. Daikin says up to eight sensors can connect to one ONE+ thermostat. It is a room-sensing accessory, not a general remedy for thermostat or HVAC system faults.
