The Grove took the Cbus National High Rise Apartment Building Award; Addstyle’s coastal-home project won the National Renovations/Extensions Award in the $350,000 to $500,000 category.
What did the WA projects win?
The awards were presented in Adelaide, with Master Builders WA members collecting six awards at the 2025 national event, according to PerthNow’s report of 6 December 2025. The two residential projects highlighted were very different in scale: a multi-building apartment development and an extension to an existing coastal home.
| Project | Builder | National award | Project type |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Grove Residences, Airlie Street, Claremont | Multiplex | Cbus National High Rise Apartment Building Award | Four-building apartment development |
| City Beach home on Yaltara Road | Addstyle Master Builders | National Renovations/Extensions Award, $350,000 to $500,000 category | Renovation and extension of an existing home |
The Master Builders WA past-award archive lists both 2025 winners, including the City Beach project under its Yaltara Road name. Blackburne’s 2025 awards page also lists The Grove and credits Multiplex for the high-rise award.
What makes The Grove Residences notable?
The Grove is a high-rise residential development on a 15,741-square-metre site in Claremont. PerthNow describes four buildings containing 228 homes, with premium amenities and views extending from the coast toward the city. Its national win recognises it in the high-rise apartment category; the award does not, by itself, establish details about individual apartment prices, construction methods or performance.

What was included in the City Beach renovation?
Addstyle Master Builders, based in Balcatta, won in the national renovation and extension category for the $350,000 to $500,000 band. That is the award category’s stated price range, not a confirmed total project cost.
The work reshaped the existing coastal home around its outlook: it added a third-floor main suite, expanded living areas and refreshed the alfresco zone. Addstyle’s project description also notes extended living and alfresco areas and contemporary finishes.

How significant was WA’s six-award result?
Master Builders WA CEO Matt Moran described WA as representing “around 6 per cent” of the national member base, and said winning six awards was “a huge achievement,” as quoted by PerthNow. The approximate membership share is Moran’s characterization, not an independently audited statistic. He also said: “We have always known that our WA members are some of the most dedicated and talented builders in the industry and it’s fantastic to see their hard work recognised in this way.”
Both featured projects had also won category awards at the 2025 MBAWA Building Excellence Awards in September, before their national recognition.
