Topping out means the structure has reached its top; it does not confirm that construction, inspections or opening are complete.
Which Toronto tower is being called Canada’s tallest?
The likely subject is SkyTower, part of the Pinnacle One Yonge development at Toronto’s One Yonge site. The Skyscraper Center lists it at 351.4 metres (1,153 feet) across 106 floors. Hariri Pontarini Architects also describes the planned tower as 106 storeys and 352 metres tall, and identifies it as part of the Pinnacle One Yonge master plan.
The small difference between 351.4 metres and 352 metres reflects the published figures’ measurement and rounding, not two different towers. March 2026 coverage also reported a height of 351.85 metres. For a building-ranking figure, the Skyscraper Center is the clearest reference. This ranking concerns buildings; it does not mean SkyTower is taller than the CN Tower as a structure.
Is SkyTower finished, and when will it open?
By March 2026, SkyTower had reached its 106th floor and was reported as topped out. The Skyscraper Center’s status is “structurally topped out,” and it lists 2026 as the expected completion year. That is a forecast, not confirmation that the tower has been completed or opened.

Topping out marks the structure reaching its top. It does not establish that the façade, interiors, inspections or occupancy approvals are finished, nor does it confirm that a hotel has begun receiving guests. The sources available do not verify that SkyTower had opened by October 8, 2026, or provide a confirmed public opening date.
What is planned inside the tower?
The Skyscraper Center classifies SkyTower’s functions as residential and hotel. Project reporting describes condominiums, a planned Le Méridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel and extensive amenities. Published residential counts vary slightly by source:
