There is no independently tested overall winner among the stainless steel folding tables covered here. Choose by matching the table’s dimensions, materials, load rating and folding design to the job—and check the tabletop and frame materials separately. The specifications below come from product listings, not independent performance tests.
Start with the job and the space
A folding stainless steel table may serve as a food-prep surface, an event or catering station, or a general-purpose worktop. First decide what needs to fit on the surface, how much working height and leg clearance you need, and where the table will be stored when folded. Measure both the setup area and the route into storage; the product pages reviewed do not provide a consistent set of folded dimensions.
Length, depth and height are not interchangeable measures of suitability. For example, the Uline H-10350 is listed at 72 × 30 inches and 31 inches high, while Simply Stainless lists its 38-ET Events Table at 1800 × 700 × 900 mm. These are different products and should not be treated as a like-for-like comparison.

| Model | Listed dimensions | Listed material or construction | Capacity information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uline H-10350 | 72 × 30 in; 31 in high | 18-gauge Type 430 top; 18-gauge Type 201 legs | 300 lb listed capacity; loading conditions are not stated on the cited listing |
| Simply Stainless 38-ET Events Table | 1800 × 700 × 900 mm | 1.2 mm stainless top with reinforced backing; 38 mm stainless tube frames | not stated on the cited listing |
| Richmond BEN010 | 1200 × 900 × 910 mm | Grade 201; 0.9 mm material; folding legs | 150 kg evenly distributed static load |
| Lioninox folding table with lower shelf | Several size variants; check the chosen variant | Supplier describes the table as entirely AISI 304 stainless steel, with a lower shelf | Figures vary by size variant; check the chosen listing |
| Garvee folding prep table | Check the exact listing and configuration | Retailer and brand listings show folding, two-tier configurations and describe grade 201 steel | Check the exact listing; capacity and performance statements are seller claims |
These figures are not directly comparable measures of strength. In particular, Richmond specifies an evenly distributed static load, while the Uline listing gives a capacity without the same loading condition in the cited information. Do not assume a rating for one model applies to another size or brand.
Check the steel by component
“Stainless steel” alone does not tell you which alloy is used throughout the table. Uline specifies a Type 430 top and Type 201 legs; Lioninox describes its table as AISI 304. Check the material for the top, legs, frame and shelf rather than relying on a general product label.
A secondary buying guide says 304 is suited to more corrosive, wet settings than 430, while noting that conditions and chemicals matter. Use alloy grade as a screening factor, not a guarantee against corrosion. Cleaning products, exposure and the specific environment still matter.

Its heavy-duty steel frame and sturdy legs ensure it can support heavy loads and withstand the demands of industrial use.
- [FOLDING DESIGN] - The table's folding design offers easy storage and efficient space utilization. The fold-away legs make it simple to tuck the table away in a closet or under another table when not in use.
- [VERSATILE USAGE] - Thanks to its strength and durability, our foldable table is ideal for a wide range of settings, including commercial kitchens, restaurants, laboratories, workshops, garages, and outdoor areas.

- [ANTI-SLIP FEET] - Each leg features a capped foot that protects floors from dents and scratches while providing improved traction on slippery surfaces, ensuring greater stability and safety.
Read thickness and reinforcement in context
Listings may give sheet thickness in millimetres or use gauge. The FoodServiceNerd guide, updated August 2026, explains that a lower gauge number means thicker sheet and identifies 14-, 16- and 18-gauge tops as common work-table gauges for different levels of use. This is general secondary guidance, not a substitute for the exact model specification or its load rating.

For a specific product, Simply Stainless lists a 1.2 mm top with reinforced backing; Richmond lists 0.9 mm material. Those figures refer to different models and do not establish which table is stronger. Consider the stated reinforcement and the complete construction alongside thickness, rather than choosing on thickness alone.
Choose the folding and storage arrangement
Confirm how the legs fold and lock, how heavy the table is to move, and whether setup requires tools or another person. Also check folded depth and height, packed weight, and any shelf-removal steps with the seller: the cited product pages do not supply a consistent comparison of these details.

- Folding Outdoor Grill Table & Dual-Use Prep Station: For outdoors, use it as a prep surface, portable grill stand, or pizza-oven base to fit different footprints on patio, lawn, or deck; indoors it works well as a laundry folding table or quick utility workspace when you need a flat, stable surface.
- Heavy-Duty Top for Real Grill Loads: The metal tabletop supports up to 70 lb for staging portable grills, compact ovens, or heavier gear; X-shaped legs help keep the table steadier during real cook sessions.
- Trash Bag Holder (13–30 Gal) + Paper Towel Rack & Hooks: A removable trash bag frame fits 13–30 gallon bags for wrappers and trimmings; an integrated paper towel holder plus four side hooks keep towels and grilling tools handy while you work.
- Lower Shelf for Condiments, Drinks & Gear: An extra bottom shelf adds usable space for spices, sauces, plates, and bottles so the top stays clear for cooking, resting, and serving.
- 10-Second Setup & 10-Second Pack-Down: This collapsible outdoor table is designed for fast action—open it in about 10 seconds when you’re ready to cook, then fold it down in about 10 seconds when you’re done.
If storage below the top is useful, compare open-base designs with two-tier or undershelf versions. The Lioninox listing includes a lower shelf, and Garvee listings show two-tier configurations. Check whether a shelf changes folding, transport or clearance for your intended setup. If you want casters, confirm compatibility with the exact table rather than assuming they can be added.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verify certification for the exact model and use
Uline’s listing says the H-10350 is NSF certified; a Lowe’s listing also uses an NSF-certified product title for a listed folding table. These individual listing claims do not establish certification for other tables or configurations. Ask the supplier to confirm the exact model’s certification and check applicable local requirements with the authority responsible for the installation.

Match the table to your priorities
- For a tight storage area: prioritize measured folded dimensions, packed weight and a clear folding or locking mechanism. Ask for missing measurements before ordering.
- For frequent wet or chemical exposure: check the alloy of each component and confirm cleaning-product compatibility with the supplier. A grade label alone cannot guarantee corrosion resistance in every environment.
- For event transport: compare the setup dimensions with the working area, then verify folded size and weight, which are not consistently stated in the cited listings.
- For extra storage: consider a shelf or two-tier configuration, while confirming how it affects folding and the space beneath the table.
- For heavier work: use only the exact model’s stated capacity and loading conditions. Do not treat a static, evenly distributed rating as proof of capacity for concentrated or moving loads.
Pre-purchase checks
- Measure the working footprint, required height and available folded-storage space.
- Confirm the exact model and size variant, including top, leg, frame and shelf materials.
- Ask for the capacity rating and its conditions, such as whether the load must be evenly distributed and static.
- Check top thickness or gauge, reinforcement, folding locks, shelf arrangement and any caster compatibility.
- Verify certification for the exact model and intended location with the supplier and relevant local authority.
- Confirm current availability, freight, returns and any assembly or setup requirements with the seller.
