Is a Kalorik slicer suitable for your use?
The AS 45493 manual positions the appliance for household use, not commercial service: “This appliance is not intended for commercial use.” It also instructs users to observe the maximum continuous running time shown on the rating label and take breaks of at least 10 minutes. How to clean the AS 45493 BK safely
- Turn the slicer off, unplug it, and wait until the blade has stopped completely before cleaning.
- Use the manual’s removal instructions for the blade and carriage. Treat the blade as extremely sharp throughout removal, washing, and reinstallation.
- Hand-wash removed parts as directed. Do not immerse the appliance or put it in a dishwasher.
- After use, set the thickness dial to zero. Store the unit and removed parts safely, following the manual.
Follow the AS 45493 manual for the exact disassembly and cleaning procedure. A separate AS 40763 manual also warns about sharp-blade handling and unsuitable foods, but it does not establish that AS 40763 is the older Professional Style model described by Kalorik.
