Which Haier dehumidifier is the best fit?
There is no defensible current “best overall” pick among these documented models: the U.S. product pages describe discontinued products, while the detailed China listings are older specifications for a different electrical market. The practical choice depends first on where you live and what your electrical supply supports, then on the model’s stated capacity, tank, noise rating, and features.

What the specifications mean in practice
Capacity is tied to test conditions
Dehumidifier output depends on operating conditions. Haier’s China pages give two temperature-and-humidity ratings for each model; for example, DE25B is listed at 25 L/day at 30°C/80% RH and 12 L/day at 27°C/60% RH. Those are separate stated conditions, not contradictory promises of a fixed daily output. The U.S. pages name pint-per-day capacities but do not provide test conditions in the cited material. Avoid comparing those numbers as if they came from one common test.
Tank size affects emptying frequency
The China pages list a 5.2 L tank for DE25B and a 3 L tank for DE12CU1. A smaller tank means less collected water can be held before it needs attention, but the listed capacity alone does not establish how often a particular room will require emptying. The pages do not establish hose compatibility or continuous-drain support for these models; check the exact model’s manual rather than assuming a hose will fit.

Noise figures are manufacturer ratings
Haier lists DE25B at 42 dB(A) and DE12CU1 at no more than 45 dB(A). These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements in a home. They do not establish how audible either unit will be in a particular room or installation.
Features are model-specific
Haier’s DE12CU1 listing names a defrost function, timer, drying mode, and filter; DE25B’s page lists a 1–24-hour timer. Do not assume another Haier dehumidifier has the same functions. The cited U.S. product pages identify QDHR50LZ as having Smart Dry and HEN30ET as electronic-control, but do not establish other feature details in the material cited here.

Energy-efficiency labels and older Haier listings
A historical ENERGY STAR product list posted June 10, 2013, includes Haier America models HM30E, HM50E, HM50EP, HM70E, and HM70EP, with a listed efficiency of 1.85 L/kWh and capacities of 30, 50, or 70 pints/day by model. That dated list does not establish that any of those models remains available or currently qualifies. ENERGY STAR’s Version 6 final specification is dated August 21, 2024; the specification revision page describes the standard, not the present qualification status of a particular Haier model. How to check a Haier model before purchase or installation
- Confirm market and supply: read the product label and model page for voltage and frequency, then verify they match the intended location. The cited China models are 220 V/50 Hz; HEN30ET is described as 115 volts.
- Verify that it can actually be bought: check current retailer inventory and Haier’s manufacturing status for the exact model. The QDHR50LZ and HEN30ET pages say those models are no longer manufactured; that does not prove whether remaining stock exists.
