The Breville Tea Maker BTM800XL is the clearest match here: it can schedule either water heating or an automatic tea-brewing cycle. The other models below offer temperature control and, in some cases, keep-warm functions, but their cited product pages do not establish scheduled starting.
What “timer” means on an electric kettle
Timer can refer to three different functions. A scheduled-start control begins heating at a selected clock time; a steep timer measures how long tea infuses; and a keep-warm setting holds heated water or brewed tea at temperature for a stated period. A kettle with temperature presets does not necessarily have any of these timer functions.
For a true scheduled start, the appliance must be prepared in advance. The Breville manual says its Auto Start can schedule either a tea-brewing cycle or a water-heating cycle for a selected time. You still need to add water—and tea leaves if you are scheduling tea—beforehand.
Best match for scheduled tea: Breville Tea Maker BTM800XL
Breville’s US product page identifies the BTM800XL as a tea maker with kettle functions. It has an automatic basket that lowers into the water to steep and rises afterward, settings for black, green, white, herbal, and oolong teas, and a strength control. It can also heat water without brewing tea.

The BTM800 instruction manual describes the scheduled-start function this way: “This feature allows you to program the specific time when the Tea Maker will automatically turn on and start either a tea brewing cycle or water heating cycle.” To use it, set the current time and desired start time, select tea or hot water, and load the appliance in advance. Do not confuse Auto Start with keep-warm. Breville says the completed brew can be kept warm for up to 60 minutes; that is a separate function, not the time at which brewing begins. [Breville BTM800XL product page]

Temperature-control kettles: useful alternatives, not scheduled-start equivalents
If your priority is choosing water temperature for different teas or other drinks, these manufacturer-described models offer temperature control. The cited pages do not establish that they can start heating at a chosen clock time or automatically steep tea. Specifications and availability are market-specific, so check the exact model sold where you live.

How to choose the right timer function
- Choose scheduled start if you want heating or brewing to begin at a specific clock time. Confirm that the exact model supports auto-start and whether it can schedule a full tea cycle or only heat water.
- Choose automatic infusion if you want the appliance to lower and lift a tea basket for you. Check which tea types and strength adjustments are offered.
- Choose temperature presets if you plan to start the kettle yourself but want specific water-temperature options. Presets alone are not proof of auto-start.
- Check keep-warm separately if you need water or tea held after heating. Compare its stated duration with your routine; it does not schedule the initial heating cycle.
- Match the market and model before buying. Model suffixes, capacity, specifications, and availability can vary by region.
Check recall notices by exact model
Zwilling’s official US recall notice concerns ENFINIGY and ENFINIGY Pro 1.5 L electric kettles. It is a model-specific notice, not a general warning about every kettle or every product from the brand. If you own or are considering one, compare its exact product identifiers with the notice for your market. A Japanese government index also listed a Zwilling J.A. Henckels Japan kettle recall in May 2026, but that listing alone does not establish that the affected Japanese units are the same as the US models. [Zwilling US recall notice]
