Scott ComfortPlus is the best fit if comfort is your priority. Scott positions it as a thicker, stronger toilet paper designed for comfort. Scott 1000 is the alternative for shoppers who prefer one-ply tissue and a stated 1,000 sheets per roll. The performance comparisons below come from Scott, not independent head-to-head testing.
Which Scott toilet paper is best for comfort?
Scott ComfortPlus is the comfort-led choice among these two Scott rolls. Scott describes it as designed for comfort and says it is 4× stronger and 3× thicker than a leading value brand. Those are manufacturer comparisons; they do not establish an independent softness ranking or prove how the product will feel to every user.
Scott also says ComfortPlus “Dissolves 10x Faster” than a leading 1-ply premium toilet paper, which its page identifies as Cottonelle Ultra Clean. This, too, is Scott’s claim rather than an independently verified comparison.

When Scott 1000 may be the better fit
Choose Scott 1000 if you specifically want one-ply tissue or value the stated 1,000 sheets per roll. Scott positions it around long-lasting value rather than comfort. Its sheet count describes an individual roll; it does not by itself establish how many rolls a particular pack contains or how its price compares with ComfortPlus.

What to check before buying
- Compare price per sheet. Use the actual package price and sheet count for the specific pack available. No stable current price-per-sheet comparison is established here.
- Confirm the pack configuration. Retailer formats and availability can vary. Do not assume that labels such as “mega” or “family” correspond to a fixed sheet or roll quantity.
- Check the exact product name and label. Verify the current package details at the retailer before comparing options.

Scott identifies both products as septic safe and clog-free. That is the manufacturer’s statement, not a guarantee for every plumbing setup. Follow the guidance for your own plumbing and septic system.
